Pharrell’s ‘Happy’ has clearly already made its name as the anthem of 2014, taking the world by storm and inspiring copycat videos in their hundreds. Back in January we were blessed with Hélène Franchineau’s Happy in Hong Kong version. And now by ‘happy’ coincidence, another French woman named Helene has shared her alternative rendition of the cheerful tune. Introducing the cutest Happy video yet!
The little girls skipping up Pottinger Street, shimmying through wet markets and clapping their hands (not always in time) through parks, out of elevators and by random mango stalls in this video, may strike you as particularly well dressed. That’s because they’re the wards of funky Hong Kong children’s boutique Little Parisians, and pretty good they look for it too!
Founder Helene Foucher made this video to market the store’s latest summer collection. But even if you’re not in the market for kids’ clothes, there’s nothing not to love about this campaign. Despite the adorable final product however, Helene confesses that shooting the video wasn’t exactly child’s play.
“It took us two-and-a-half days to film,” she told Localiiz. “It was not easy with the tiny girls because they were more interested in watching us than looking into the camera, but later we caught some of the best moments with them just by letting them play. The big girls on the other hand were very professional and had already prepared their performances at home.”
