The SPCA’s new opening coincides with a rise in pet ownership and demand for greater pet inclusivity in Hong Kong. Striving to meet demand for improved animal welfare services in the city, the SPCA has expanded its scope of animal care work and outreach to support more animals in need.

The SPCA Jockey Club Centennial Centre not only aims to be a fully equipped medical and animal adoption facility, but also a place where you can make fond memories with your pet. Soon to become the largest animal hospital in the New Territories, the five-storey Centennial Centre spans an extensive 93,000 square feet on the coast of Tsing Yi, complete with two terraces and a rooftop pet garden.

Visitors will find cat and exotic animal adoption centres on the ground floor alongside a retail shop stocked with pet-friendly goods and a grooming area. A dog adoption centre is set up on the first floor, where new and experienced dog parents can also visit the SPCA’s pet behaviour and training space. An exhibition hall allows the SPCA to promote animal inclusivity and welfare.

If you are going on holiday but cannot secure a pet sitter, check out the SPCA’s animal boarding services at the Centennial Centre! Fully equipped with welfare facilities and staffed with experienced carers, your pet is in safe hands when boarding with the SPCA. Within the centre are four conference and seminar rooms equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, where interactive and immersive classes dedicated to promoting animal welfare will be hosted.

The third and fourth floors are reserved for health services. The third floor is home to two surgery suites, a neuter centre, and a suite for the SPCA’s cat colony care programme. The fourth floor has a veterinary clinic and 24-hour animal hospital offering comprehensive medical care, including dental, radiology, and ultrasound services. The clinic and hospital are set to open later this year.

How to get there

The SPCA Jockey Club Centennial Centre is located at 38 Cheung Fai Road. Any taxi in town will take you straight to the door. If you are arriving by car, there are two carparks on Cheung Fai Road that are a few minutes’ walk from the centre.
