Calling all entrepreneurs! Europe’s largest tech conference, Web Summit, is coming to Hong Kong for the first time ever on July 31 and August 1.
Rebranded as Asia’s inaugural RISE Conference, the two-day event will bring together 5,000 tech industry leaders, including 140 speakers, 140 investors, and 500 exhibiting startups from Hong Kong and overseas. Guest speakers include director of architecture for Microsoft Josh Holmes; president of Google for Work Amit Singh; and CTO for Amazon US Werner Vogels.
In the run up to the conference, Web Summit is teaming up with Startups HK to bring a whole week of amazing startup gatherings to the city under the name #RiseWeek on Twitter. The events give entrepreneurs the chance to gather with fellow startups, investors and media, and demonstrate how their companies are changing the way we live. Highlights include a Gormei Dinner with Paddy Cosgrave, Notey Happy Hour, Startup Pub Crawl, RISE Night Summit, and even a Startup Tram.
