I tried out the 4-course dinner tasting meal at Porterhouse in California Tower. How did I chose my restaurant and tasting menu of choice? Easy. Situated on the 7th floor of the California tower, Porterhouse provides the perfect ambience for a relaxed and intimate mid-week meal. We were quickly greeted and seated and in no time at all, I found myself sipping on a delicious Porterhouse Mary (definitely a go-to for the spicy bloody Mary fans). Then it was time for the food, which came at a perfect pace and was accompanied by carefully selected wines to pair. We started off with a juicy Crab Cakes and a Crab Leg Tartare doused in tomato Coulis. Then we enjoyed Porterhouse’s Homemade Taglioni with brown crab meat, followed by my personal favourite of the night – USDA Prime Beef Sirloin cooked to perfection with wood fire Baked Crab Leg.

Each course was the perfect portion in size, leaving just enough space for a wonderful Lime Cheesecake dessert. The meal was finished off with a nice piping hot cup of tea and coffee and as there was no bill to be settled – it was straight home to recover from the food coma in bed!
