It’s that time of the year again! You’d love to take dad out for a meal this weekend to celebrate his awesomeness, but the only problem is, with so many Father’s Day meals and deals out there, which one should you choose? While we trust that you know dad’s taste best, here is our top pick of Hong Kong Father’s Day menus from all cuisines to get you started on your search.

Smoky barbeque feast at Big Sur

Indulge dad big time this Father’s Day with a smoky barbeque feast ($825 for four people)—the traditional Californian diner way. For this weekend only, Big Sur is serving a hearty feast of melt-in-your-mouth smoked pork ribs, beef ribs, and chicken, along with classic barbeque side dishes such as beans, Mexican corn on the cob, coleslaw, and more. Each set includes two Young Master craft beers as well—what a steal for a meal.

Build-your-own-brunch special at Spasso

Don’t forget about grandpa this Father’s Day! In fact, bring the whole family to Spasso, where grandpas—as well as kids under five—get to eat for free in a build-your-own-brunch special (starting from $368). Choose from a variety of Italian appetisers and mains to assemble your own four-course meal—and there’s an option to add on a free-flow wines and beers package, of course. Eight-course set dinner at Above & Beyond

If the four-course lunch isn’t quite enough for dad’s roaring appetite, take him to an eight-course set dinner ($688) at Hotel ICON’s Above & Beyond. Dine on elevated Cantonese classics such as Fried Rice with Diced Abalone wrapped in Lotus Leaf, Sliced Crispy Angus Beef Brisket with Five Spices, and Baked Stuffed Crab while overlooking Hong Kong’s glistening skyline. As expected, advance booking is required for this set dinner with a minimum party requirement of four diners, but you can put your name down for table via phone booking for an extra 20 percent off, applied to your meal on the day.

Father’s Day brunch at Zuma

To celebrate the gentlemen with a taste for refinement this weekend, Zuma in Central is offering a Father’s Day brunch ($988) featuring the inimitable Gyaku Manhattan, a refreshing blend of chorizo fat-washed rye whisky with house vermouth and Zuma bitters. Mains for your brunch meal include Chilli Marinated Chicken Thigh with Barley Miso, Grilled Hamachi Kama with Lemon and Sea Salt, and—for an additional $980—an incredible two-kilogram Australian Wagyu Tomahawk. Finish the meal with a decadent dessert platter featuring Bailey’s Flavoured Chocolate Chawanmushi among other treats, and enjoy two and a half hours of free-flow champagne!

Regale dad with a classic, robust surf and turf lunch ($498) at Morton’s The Steakhouse overlooking Victoria Harbour this Sunday! Meaty dinner buffet at The Farmhouse

If a steakhouse isn’t enough to satisfy, treat the man to a meaty, all-you-can-eat dinner buffet ($678 per person) at The Farmhouse. On the Father’s Day menu, this farm-to-table-style buffet is a meat lover’s paradise: Feast on anything from roasted New Zealand lamb racks and free-range chicken to a tableside carving of succulent USDA prime rib-eye. The buffet also includes seafood, organic vegetables, and Indian and Cantonese specialities, and every dad will receive a complimentary bottle of beer as well to go with their flavourful meal.

Vegetarian Father’s Day menu at Miss Lee

For all the vegetarian dads out there, modern Chinese vegetarian restaurant Miss Lee is launching a new menu inspired by the legendary Eight Immortals ($398 for six courses; $498 for eight courses) just in time for Father’s Day. Among the healthy and creative dishes is the Melon Poet, named after scholar Lu Dong-bin, in which braised winter melon is flavoured with a secret soy sauce recipe, paired with taro purée and pearl barley. Another highlight is the Eggplant Composer, named for flute-playing deity Han Xiang-zi, in which eggplant is paired with crunchy Chinese yam, black fungus, and fragrant enoki mushrooms. A free-flow package of bubbly prosecco and drinks to go along with the meal is available for an additional $188.

Roasted suckling pig menu at Frites

After having “roasted” dad for so long, be nice to him on his special day and treat him to an actual roast—roasted suckling pig, that is! Available only this Sunday at Belgian beerhouse Frites, the crispy suckling pig menu ($1,350) is completed with sides of roasted potatoes and refreshing salads and serves four to five people. While the suckling pig is offered for both dine-in and takeaway, do note that it must be ordered 72 hours in advance. Let’s pig out!

Cantonese whisky pairing at PIIN Wine Restaurant

There’s no shortage of treats for whiskey-loving dads, but this Father’s Day, consider bringing them to PIIN Wine Restaurant for a unique fusion experience, where timeless Cantonese dishes are paired with carefully selected whiskies. Dishes include Dome of Drunken Chicken and Braised Garoupa with Beancurd Skin, while for finishers, the Deep-fried Custard Ball with Chocolate Whisky Filling is sure to satisfy, and it’s served in a three-litre bottle as dessert, too! Whisky pairings include selections such as Akashi White Oak Blended Whisky, Chichibu Ichiro’s Malt Wine Wood Reserve, and Nikka from the Barrel 80th Anniversary Edition. The six-course Father’s Day dinner menu ($780 per person) is available now, with the whisky pairing costing an additional $680 per person.

Indian brunch buffet at Gaylord Indian Restaurant

Craving a belly-warming meal? Bring dad and the family to Gaylord Indian Restaurant for a wallet-friendly Indian brunch buffet ($198 per person). Dishes include mouthwatering classics such as Podi Paneer, Chicken Tikka, and Guava Pani Poori, followed by lots of curries such as Murg Methi Malai and Prawn Bengali Curry. Desserts include Indian sweets such as Carrot Halwa and Mango Rasmalai, and Dad gets a complimentary glass of wine or beer as well. Michelin-starred Cantonese dining at Yat Tung Heen

Another great restaurant for a family meal to remember is Michelin-starred Cantonese restaurant Yat Tung Heen. Families of four can dig into a nine-course meal ($3,280) of intricately crafted Cantonese fare, such as Steamed Leopard Coral Garoupa and Puff Pastry with Lotus Seed and Chilled Mango Glutinous Rolls. For bigger families, additional dishes, such as Roasted Marinated Goose and Fried Rice with Crab Meat, Egg White and Ginger, are included at their six-person menu ($4,800).

Fiery Father’s Day menu at Chilli Fagara

To spice things up this Father’s Day, take dad to Sichuan restaurant Chilli Fagara for free-flow beer and exclusive Deluxe Peroni combos. Fathers can enjoy an hour of free-flow Peroni when guests order at least one Deluxe Peroni combo (starting from $420) per table, which offers a choice of mains such as Emperor Prawns, Caramelised Beef with Garlic & Ginger-Infused Sauce, and the renowned Mandarin Fish Simmered with Sichuan Preserved Vegetables in a blazing broth. Italian and Japanese treats at Aqua

Can’t decide between cuisines? Take your taste buds across the globe at Aqua, a Japanese and Italian restaurant that is offering a Father’s Day menu ($788 per person) with delectable selections such as Stone-grilled Wagyu Beef with Butter Soy Sauce, Grilled Octopus with Roasted Eggplant and Chilli, and Cartoccio-style Sea Bass alla Mediterranea.
