We imagine you're just as shell-shocked as we are, which is why we're making your life a little bit easier with a succinct guide to the most happening events in Hong Kong. Ready? 1. New Year's Eve Bowling
Grab 2017 by the balls at the funkiest bowling alley in town, Tikitiki Bowling Bar. For a swanky New Year's Eve dinner reserve a table at the luxurious Beach Bums and Cannibals restaurant, or alternatively check out the snack menu while you're grabbing drinks from the Sea Dogs and Mermaids Bar. 2. New Year's Eve at Grappa's Cellar
It's a jazzy affair at Grappa's Cellar this New Year's Eve, with talented band The Cellar Sensations leading the festivities. The music of Frank Sinatra, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Queen, Bon Jovi, Coldplay, The Black Eyed Peas, and more will fill the venue - guaranteeing that absolutely everybody gets up on the dance floor. Each ticket includes a gourmet four-course dinner, free-flow bubbles from 6pm to 8pm, and an extra glass when the clock strikes midnight.

3.CÉ LA VI Presents: Black & White NYE Party
Monochrome madness is the order of the day at sleek bar, restaurant, and rooftop CÉ LA VI. There are several different party packages on offer, starting with a decadent New Year's Feast in the restaurant. Party people are perfectly suited to the Club Experience package, which gives access to the Black and White NYE Party in the Club Lounge from 9pm. However, we recommend the Ultimate Countdown package priced at $888, which will allow you to party on all three floors - including the stunning Sky Deck. All packages include a glass of Champagne and access to the Restaurant Lounge from 12.30am to wind down after the midnight excitement.

4. Vintage Hollywood NYE
For vintage vibes, there's only one place to be this NYE. Forget Wan Chai, you'll be transported back to the golden age of Hollywood as you party into 2017 with dancers and celebrity lookalikes across 6 floors at The Optimist and Pirata. And yes, of course there will be photo booths - well it would be a travesty not to take a snap or two when you're dolled up to the nines. For the full experience, snag the Ultimate Countdown Package which includes free-flow drinks all night long and as many plates of Iberico ham, seafood, and Tiramisu as you can manage. 6. Great Gatsby Glam New Year's Eve Ball
Flapper dresses and three-piece suits at the ready old sport - let's party like it's 1929. You're really spoilt for choice this NYE, with venues on either side of the harbour hosting Great Gatsby Glam Balls - pick a side and let the celebrations begin! Upon arrival you'll enjoy cocktails and canapés, before tucking into a gourmet dinner buffet. Free-flow wine, beer, bubbles, and spirits can be enjoyed throughout the evening - or alternatively from 11pm if you opt for the cheaper Countdown Package - and a trip to the Sparkles shooter bar is a must. When you've stuffed yourself silly, shake your tail feathers to the beats of the live DJ, before heading back for seconds - and thirds. And maybe even fourths. The kitchen is open until midnight after all. Not mad for steak frites? Bag the standing free-flow package and join the party at 11pm. Regardless, when the clock strikes midnight, it's champagne all round.

8. Lamma NYE Beachfest
Kick off 2017 with your toes in the sand and the ocean stretching out before you at Lamma NYE Beachfest. The exact location will be revealed upon registration, but we're promised an idyllic beach on Lamma island so get excited. Campers are welcome to pitch their tents, and boats will be arranged for those who want to wake up at home. Organised by party experts at The Lamma Book Club, it goes without saying that there will be an epic line up of live music performances and DJs, pumping out house, tech, drum and bass, and everything in between - until 8am!

9. NYE Fireworks Cruise and Dinner
Sail into 2017 on board Hong Kong Yachting's sophisticated NYE Fireworks Cruise and Dinner. 13. Spasso Count Down Dinner
What better way to celebrate the New Year in Hong Kong than with the skyline as your back drop? Tuck into a delectable five-course meal of Sicilian Red Prawn Carpaccio, Pumpkin Tortellacci Alla Mantovani, 300-Day Fed Striploin, and more with the harbour stretching out before you at popular Italian dining spot, Spasso. 14. NYE Above It All Dinner and Rooftop Party
For a southside celebration, look no further than Ovolo Hotel. Ophelia is decadent on a normal day, so you can only imagine the spectacle that will be New Year's Eve. Guests dressed in black, gold, and purple will fill the seductive venue, enjoying an open bar from either 8pm or 11pm depending on the package chosen, and nibbling on an exquisite array of canapés. Live performances are guaranteed, and DJ Marc Dent will be mixing tunes from the 70s, 80s, and 90s.

17. 4D Holo NYE Party
It's a futuristic celebration at Woobar come December 31. Forget 3D - that's so 2016 - we're kicking off the New Year with an epic 4D hologram show. London boy Luke Bond will be raising the roof with his unique mix of progressive house, while guests enjoy six hours of free-flow. Just make sure you bag your tickets quickly if free-flow is your jam, because there are only a limited number available.
