Hurray! The sweetest festival of the year is almost upon us, and we're ready to get loaded up on sugar and spring into action with these egg-citing events around the city. From traditional sermons and Easter egg hunts, to cookery classes and chocolatey cocktails, we've sussed out the best treats on offer this March.
Easter Egg Hunts
It wouldn't feel like Easter without a traditional Easter egg hunt, and in true Hong Kong style, we have plenty of options for both children and adults. You're never too old to throw on a pair of fluffy ears and get searching for a chocolate fix!
Happy Valley Races
In association with luxury chocolate brand, Godiva, "Hoppy" Wednesdays have been given an Easter makeover. Head down to the racecourse and try your luck at guessing how many chocolates are in the giant decorations, and you could walk away with a delicious Godiva spring hamper. And the fun doesn't stop there, as you'll be given a pair of bunny ears when you head to the bar - the perfect accessory to wear as you pose for the obligatory selfie. With live music from Hong Kong's favourite Latino band, Carnivale, and a chance to win a Happy Valley cash voucher worth $1,000 (for posing in one of the special Easter hats on display, and posting on Instagram with the location: Happy Valley Racecourse), you'd be hopping mad to miss it!

Discovery Bay Easter Egg Hunt on the Beach
Nothing beats an Easter egg hunt - except one on the beach! With over 30,000 prizes up for grabs, it's no surprise that registration for this exciting Easter event filled up in a matter of hours. Kids aged between three and ten will be digging like mad on Tai Pak beach in pursuit of the Golden Egg Grand Prize (a hamper of Kinder Joy products and over $2,000 worth of indoor playground cash coupons). Youngsters are welcome to play on the exciting, inflatable carnival rides at the Discovery Bay North Plaza, and tickets are available when you spend money at 7-Eleven, Jaspa's, and Wellcome ($30 gets you one ride). With an inflatable aquarium, and a whopping shark slide, your only problem might be persuading your little ones to get off!

Disneyland Springtime Egg-stravanganza
For a truly magical Easter, get yourself over to Disneyland for their Springtime Egg-stravanganza. Mickey and his friends have been busy hiding over 70 colourful eggs, which look like our favourite characters, across the park. Will you catch the White Rabbit? Or hunt down the Seven Dwarfs? With so many eggs to track down, you'd better gather together your little ones, grab a map, and start following the clues. Whilst you are there, say hello to the real Disney crew in their special Spring outfits, which are unique to Hong Kong.

Lily & Bloom
Who said Easter egg hunts are only for kids? Lily & Bloom are hosting separate junior and adult hunts for diners, with one lucky grown up bagging a year of free meals at the fifth floor restaurant. This could be fun after a couple of glasses of free-flow Bellinis! Make sure you swing by the omelette station to try out the four types of egg on offer, before sipping on a boozy milkshake, and devouring the delectable chocolate semi-freddo dessert.

Chocolate Cocktails
After all the Easter egg-citement, a relaxing cocktail atop the trendy Armani/Privé and Aqua bars will be just what the Easter Bunny ordered. As far as Easter tipples go, these sister venues have taken the biscuit with their edible chocolate egg-filled cocktails. The Chocolate Egg Martini, available at Armani/Privé, is every chocaholic's dream, with creme de cacao, thyme infused vodka, and the hazelnut flavours of Frangelico liquor. Over in Tsim Sha Tsui, Aqua's creation Xocolât (pictured) blends rum, baileys, and Kalhua - with the added bonus of a panoramic harbour view. Delightful!

The Easter Southside Market
Gather your friends and family for a day of outdoor Easter fun, courtesy of The Butcher's Club. A whole range of vendors will appear on the spacious rooftop to compliment the mouth-watering lamb which is being served up by the host restaurant. In addition to an Easter themed selection of food, there will be live music, face painting, drinking games - and, of course, a good old-fashioned Easter egg hunt!
