By Sponsored content 27 May 2019
Finally answering the prayers of all gin lovers in town, Ginsanity is Hong Kong's first-ever outdoor gin festival. Taking place on June 8 at PMQ, Hong Kong's ever-buzzing cultural hub, the festival brings together food, music, and of course, gin, for everyone to enjoy. Can't wait to get going? Then join us as we go through what's in store at this epic gin-filled festival – oh, and did we mention that entrance is free?

The Gins

With over 30 distilleries from around the world taking part, Ginsanity is the perfect opportunity for gin enthusiasts to learn more about their favourite drink, discover new ones, and have the unique chance to taste more than 50 different types of gin on offer. These include premium Japanese craft gin, Roku, bartenders' favourite, Tanqueray London Dry Gin, and three local Hong Kong Gins joining the scene: Handover Gin, Bauhinia Gin, and Perfume Trees Gin. (Click here to find out more about other types of gin at the event)

Buy, buy, buy

If you like what you taste, why not take a bottle or two (or three) home with you? All bottles will be offered at a special Ginsanity discount price, so really, there's no excuse not to stock up. And don't you even worry about carrying all the heavy bottles, as the great team at Ginsanity can arrange for it to be delivered straight to your doorstep within a week! One thing to bear in mind, the event is completely cashless. Upon arrival, guests should head to the load station, and top up their RFID Ginsanity Card with cash, credit card, or HSBC's PayMe. The card can then be used to buy whatever amazing gin you're thirsty for at all vendor stations at the festival.

Going Green

As for those who like to keep it green, you'll be glad to hear that there will be a strict no-single-use-plastic policy at the event. Instead, guests can either bring their own tumblers, or purchase a reusable Ginsanity tumbler at the load station for just $20 (it'll also make a great souvenir that you can use over and over again!). And if you're in need to hydrate or rinse off your cups for more rounds of gin, there will be a free water fountain available on site, courtesy of Life Solutions.

Fuel Up

Last but certainly not least, guests can keep the party going by fueling up with delicious nibbles provided by Three Blind Mice, Sausage Commitment, and a brand new restaurant, Chicken Bar. With so much going on, you'd be truly gin-sane to sit this one out. When: June 8, (2pm - 10pm) Where: PMQ, 35 Aberdeen Street, Central How much: Free to attend! Click here for more information
