April 12th 2013

Prepare to be dazzled by youth and beauty as Nouveau takes to the catwalk for the first time. Nouveau, a student run, non-profit charity fashion show, will be debuting on April 27th at ArtisTree, Island East.
The inaugural show will feature student models, performers and designs, as well as a wide selection of local and international brands. The theme of the night is Fluorescent Adolescent, with organisers hoping to capture and celebrate the vibrancy of youth. The event also aims to inspire students to take a break from their hectic lives and savour their youth, and to revel in the blitheness and vitality that is adolescence.
The show will see live entertainment from the likes of CIS Enharmonics, Mizade, The Flemingoes, iDance and many more, and feature student designers Hilary Lam and Jennifer Chan. Up-and-coming Hong Kong designer and Hong Kong Young Fashion Designers' Contest winner Elizabeth Lin will also be showcasing her latest collection.
Top international and Hong Kong brands donating wares to the show include Diane Freis, Lab Concept and Texwood, while sponsors include Jack Wills, Aesop and Cheeky Monkey.
The beneficiary of Nouveau 2013 is the
Children’s Cancer Foundation, a long-standing non-governmental organisation that provides services to young cancer patients in Hong Kong. The funds raised will be used to help the foundation carry out its work in hospitals, in the community, and most importantly, with young cancer patients and their families.
“The committee has put every effort possible into creating a memorable night in order to benefit this worthy cause. We hope that you will be able to support us in celebrating this innovation of youth and fashion by joining us on the night,” said Nouveau organiser Stephanie So.
