Escape rooms

Escape rooms are a great way to truly get to know your colleagues—whether they are the patient puzzle-crackers, team motivators, naturally inquisitive types, or just cannot wait to get out of there and grab a beer. With a bit of mystery and a sense of accomplishment once finished, an escape room is a fun-filled gathering for all teams!

Lost and Freeing HK are famous escape room companies with branches in Mong Kok, while Lost also has locations in Causeway Bay, Cheung Sha Wan, Tsuen Wan, Hung Hom, Sha Tin, Repulse Bay, and Discovery Bay. Ranked the first escape room in Europe, Fox in a Box has designed four different escape rooms in its Kwun Tong location.

War games

If your team is feeling a bit antsy and you need to find a way to let off some steam while having fun, paintball, laser tag, or war games might be just right for you! Shooting each other with paint, lasers, and Airsoft guns has got to be good for team morale, right? Impact Force CQB is the largest indoor wargame facility in Hong Kong, while City Hunter in Ngau Tau Kok has a sprawling 10,000-square-foot space, where you can either play war games or laser tag. Meanwhile, Crossfire Arena in Lai Chi Kok offers archery tag, bubble soccer, laser tag, dodgeball and even classes on how to wield Jedi-worthy “neon sabres” in its fun, neon-lit space.

Murder mysteries

When the time comes for your next company dinner, why not spice it up with a murder mystery? Murder mysteries are all the rage right now as immersive entertainment events are great for bonding and everybody loves to put on a detective cap and play whodunnit. Harbour Secrets helps you execute your murder mystery by providing great scenarios, character descriptions, and actors. Various storylines range from underground criminal dens to lavish auction houses and secret agent mysteries.

If you are into clue-solving but not so much into deadly scenarios, scavenger hunts are a good alternative. Harbour Secrets also offers a variety of theft scenarios, and you can check out Hall of Games and HK Hunter for even more scavenger hunts.

Charity

Sometimes, the best way to bring people together is to do something for others. Hong Kong has a number of different charity and volunteer opportunities that are not only fun but also help give back to the community!

Beach cleaning

Despite how much we might love going to the beach, Hong Kong doesn’t have the cleanest beaches or waters. A number of different charities organise regular beach clean-ups, and you can organize one just for your team or office with the help of great charities like Hong Kong Clean Up and Plastic Free Seas! And after a day’s worth of hard work, you get to admire and enjoy the results of the beautiful, spotless sands—what could be more rewarding than that?

Dog-walking

What is better than spending time with your colleagues? Spending time with your colleagues while petting dogs, of course! Most of the animal rescues around Hong Kong are always in need of a helping hand, whether you go to walk the dogs, clean the kennels, or help fundraise. Hong Kong Dog Rescue and Sai Kung Stray Friends Foundation are just some of the rescues that always welcome volunteers, but you can also click here to check out our comprehensive list of animal rescues.
