What's in Store at the Hong Kong Beach Festival - October 22 - 23

Don't pack away your swimsuit and sunscreen just yet, because the 4th annual Hong Kong Beach Fest is taking over Repulse Bay Beach on October 22 to 23 with an extravaganza of watersports action. Some of the city's fittest bods will be taking to the sea and sand to compete in water polo, dodgeball, yoga, zumba, beach pong, and even a spot of Dragon boat racing – all topped off with a beer and BBQ session of course. Set to be a weekend of pure enjoyment, this is one festival that families, friends, fitness freaks, and beach bums do not want to miss - whether that means taking part in the action or lapping up the sun as a spectator. We take a sneak peek at what's in store ...

Water Polo Tournament

Hong Kong Beach Fest Water Polo Tournament The International Hong Kong Beach Water Polo Tournament, also known as the 'Rugby 7s of aquatics', is taking over Repulse Bay on Sunday as part of the Hong Kong Beach Festival. With contenders flying in from across Asia, this tournament is set to be packed with hot bods and adrenaline pumping competition. There will be both Open Team Player options for those 18 years old and above, and Junior Team Player options for those 18 years old and below! Repulse Bay Triple  

Repulse Bay Triple We hope you've been doing your laps, because this new event will challenge participants with three high-intensity interval swims in a single active afternoon. Each swimmer will need to complete all three races to get a total race time and the winners will be determined by the fastest accumulated total race time.   When: Saturday, October 22 – 3pm start Schedule below:
  • Race 1 – 1km (5 rounds of 200m swim + beach run) (time allow: 45 min)
  • Race 2 – 600m Race (3 rounds of 200m swim + beach run) (time allow: 30 min)
  • Race 3 – 300m (1 round of 200m swim + beach run) (time allow: 20 min)
  • Prize presentation

Dodgeball Tournament

Beach Fest Dodgeball Tournament Some would argue that the Dodgeball Tournament is the pièce de résistance of the beach festival. From Minions to Harry Potter themed teams, take part or observe these epic battles in the sand! HIIT / Yoga Session on the Beach with Flex Studio

Open to the public and completely free, Flex Studio is bringing you the perfect combination of high-intensity interval training and mellowed out yoga to leave you feeling re-energized to take on the rest of the day. Beach, BBQ, Beer

Beach Fest BBQ fun and games After a full day of beach activity, you're going to need a refuel, and the Beach Fest BBQ will hit the spot with unlimited burgers, Caesar salad, spring rolls, bow tie pesto pasta, and chicken skewers - while supplies last.
