They say that the best way to someone’s heart is through the stomach, and this Valentine’s Day, Hong Kong’s unparalleled food scene has unrolled a red carpet of options for lovebirds across the city. Whether you’re opting for a (safe) meal out or a cosy night in, we’ve got you covered with the best this city has to offer.

Black Sheep Restaurants

Treat your loved one to a meal to remember at one of many establishments in the Black Sheep Restaurants roster. Enjoy a dinner and a show with front row seat at the teppan with Crown Super Deluxe’s new seafood menu ($988 per person), featuring Australian spiny lobster and a platter of assorted Toyosu Market sashimi. Not to miss out on the fun is New York-Italian-style Carbone, where their four-course Valentine’s Day menu ($888 per person) allows you to indulge in their truffle fettuccini or ribeye Diana with pancetta, before ending the night in classic New York flair with a strawberry flambé.

Pull up a chair at Buenos Aires Polo Club for an elevated steakhouse experience. Tuck into a feast including grilled bone marrow ($218) with oxtail Malbec jam or General Pico Black Angus beef ($398). A weekend special of Fine de Claire oysters (six for $288) and a dulce de leche molten cake ($108)with a pistachio tuille should make the occasion hard to forget. New Punjab Club is also making a one-time exception for lovers across the city with their exclusive breakfast ($798 per person), which is normally held on the first Sunday of each month, but guests can feast on flavorful karis and decadent Indian omelettes this Valentine’s Day.

With the warm weather just around the corner, loves this Valentines can welcome sunnier days with a Baja Beach brunch ($448) at Taqueria Super Macho. With free-flow margaritas, lovebirds are sure to have a good time feasting on brunch dishes like the Huevos Divorciados and the Chilaquiles Rojos. Love is in the air (and music!) at Taqueria Super Macho!

This Valentine’s Day, Lan Kwai Fong is treating guests to a night of exquisite and luxurious festivities. Aria and chef Andrea Zamboni have prepared a seven-course Italian feast ($2,888 for two), featuring the famous risotto with beetroot, lemon & taleggio, foie gras mi-cuit, baguette soil with apricot & brandy chutney, and chocolate, chilli & raspberry surprise. For those looking for a cosy night in, a seven-course takeout menu ($3,688 for two) featuring in-house marinated salmon, sea bass ravioli, and a bottle of Franciacorta.

Fumi is still here to provide you with the catch-of-the-day quality seafood experience ($1,580 for two or $880 for takeaway). Enjoy their Hokkaido snow crab, fresh soy milk skin with broth dressing, and Gusokuni-style deep-fried lobster. Couples will also receive a complimentary Glycel gift set. For those looking to avoid the Valentine’s Day crowd, the Hokkaido king crab weekend brunch ($528 per adult; $288 per child) is the perfect alternative, with the deluxe sashimi platter and Hokkaido king crab leg as part of the diverse menu that diners can choose from.

Porterhouse is elevating familiar favourites for this special day with their Valentine’s Day menu ($1,888 per person). Try out their langoustine tail with cherry gazpacho, foie gras terrine, and M6+ New Zealand Wagyu striploin. Porterhouse is also offering a seafood & carving brunch, featuring an unlimited buffet and dessert bar ($448 per adult; $224 per child).

Meraki Hospitality Group

Spend this Valentine’s Day with Meraki Hospitality Group as they unfurl a five- and seven-course menu for the hungry lovers. Take a trip to the Middle East for an “Arabian affair” with Bedu and their five-course menu ($390 per person). Start the night right with Bedu’s signature homemade flatbread and beetroot labneh, followed with fresh oysters, and confit king ora salmon or smoked quail. End the night with a powdered-sugar-dusted Turkish delight dessert. For those seeking that extra something special, Bedu’s seven-course dinner menu ($450 per person) includes a rich eggplant carpaccio and a light and sweet peach & pistachio sorbet.

You could also heat things up with Uma Nota’s Brazilian Japanese grill specials ($400 per person for lunch or dinner). Their seafood ceviche, 21-day aged sirloin, and pork shoulder skewers are sure to leave guests feeling as though they have visited both countries in one evening! And for those looking to extend their dining experience, the seven-course dinner menu ($500 per person for lunch or dinner) features soft-shell crab with yuzu kosho mayo and nori, and ending with the tart yet sweet passion de chocolate dessert to tie it all together.

Pirata Group

Pirata Group is unveiling a portfolio of flavours this Valentine’s Day. Fly high in the sky with a loved one at Pirata with authentic Italian cuisine. The special “Treasure My Heart” menu (starting from $498 per person) features an array of antipasti, including fritto misto with calamari and king prawns. And name a more iconic duo than tiramisu and panna cotta!

Share the love over the Optimist’s Northern Spanish sharing-style menu (starting from $498 per person) with a selection of lobster croquettes, house-special juicy lobster rice, and more. Or split the dishes at Chaiwala for a fiery and vibrant meal (starting from $448 per person), including pain puri with jal-jeera sauce, aloo tikki chaat, or house-special butter chicken.

Travel restrictions should not stop the adventurous traveller from taking a flavour trip across Japan! Honjo’s tasting menu (starting from $680 per person) features Wagyu cooked in chorizo and sushi & sashimi platters, amongst many tasty choices. Share a bottle of wine at TokyoLima for a fusion of Japanese and Peruvian flavours. Try out a Valentine’s twist on their famous tacu tacu with lobster paired with their must-try beef tataki (starting from $498 per person).

For a meal that won’t break the bank, why not try Meats, a welcome haven for the protein-loving couple? Their brunch and dinner menu (starting from $398 per person) features duck salad, fish tacos, and beef Wellington with truffle oil. Or maybe TMK for a punk rock & roll-inspired date night? A little sushi and sashimi action can also be paired with fan-favourite handrolls, such as the hamachi tomato and tuna hot dog.

For the casual lovebirds, Pici’s menu featuring Rossini pink cocktails, truffle provolone, and lobster hearts pasta is perfect. Alternatively, The Pizza Project has crafted two heart-shaped pizzas for the occasion—Truffle Love with mascarpone, black truffle, and mortadella, and Amore di Parma, with nduja, fried chills, and salami. And for those looking for a sweet dessert, fried pizza & Nutella sounds like a fun treat to share with your sweetheart!

This Valentine’s Day season, take a flavour trip with S&S Hospitality’s selection of menus and restaurants. Start your trip with the flavours of Italy at Fiamma, whose five-course tasing menu ($1,188) includes a rich risotto with mascarpone & Sicilian red prawns and beef striploin served with garlic mashed potatoes. Enjoy the dazzling views from a window-side seat at Duck & Waffle whilst feasting on their Irish white crab wrapped in crispy potato and topped with Oscietra caviar and chives and Hokkaido sea urchin and yellowtail tartare ($1,500).

With an option of the spacious dining room or the relaxing outdoor garden, take a flavour journey through the best of France with Bouchon. Their four-course menu ($1,250) features choice selections such as pan-seared foie gras with fig mostarda & fresh fig, beef fillet steak with spinach & ricotta ravioli. Braza’s all-you-can-eat package ($358) is perfect for couples with a particularly adventurous palate. Try out different cuts and cooks of meat, including Picanha rump and flank steak or northern chilli marinated chicken.

Take a trip down south with Monsoon’s four-course menu ($328) and additional 90-minute free-flow drinks ($168). Featured dishes include stir-fried prawns in pong gari sauce and dendeng balado, one of the restaurant’s signature dishes of caramelised beef short ribs. A trip to Southeast Asia would not be complete without a stop for Vietnamese coffee, re-imagined here as a Vietnamese crème caramel with coffee granita.

Whether you’re looking for a private night with that special someone or to share the love with the whole family, Cordis is here for you! The Place has prepared a lunch and dinner buffet (starting from $458 for adults; starting from $348 for children and seniors) with an amazing spread of pan-seared foie gras, cheese-baked lobster, and braised bird’s nest soup. Their live station of mandarin orange-whiskey lava chocolate cake is sure to delight all members of the family, along with free-flow pink cocktails during the dinner buffet. Chef Li Yuet Faat from Michelin-starred Ming Court has created a four- and six-course lunch and dinner menu (starting from $1,688) of elevated Cantonese-inspired dishes, such as M9 Wagyu beef, shishito green peppers & garlic black bean sauce stir-fry, and seared New Caledonian prawn in aged artisan natural-brew soy sauce.

Alibi has created a five-course set dinner ($699 per person) which includes freshly shucked oysters with bergamot, pan-fried foie gras with hibiscus gel, and a choice between strawberry & vanilla mille-feuille or smoked chocolate crunchy tart with blackberries, cocoa & sea salt sorbet. Couples will also receive a complimentary cocktail gift set.

And for those who missed hitting the Swiss Alps for the snow and fondue, The Garage Bar is here with a “cheesy” Love Truck Valentine’s Day set dinner ($1,288 for two) under the stars. The four-course dinner includes Hokkaido scallop tartare, a Swiss cheese fondue, and a dessert platter.
