Summer is fast approaching, and while international travel is still largely on hold, there are many ways you can holiday at home. Domestic tourism—from day trips to numerous islands to seacations—has been surging to fill that gap in demand for travel, and hotels have risen to the occasion by offering out-of-this-world deals and experiences. If you are vaccinated, you can enjoy even more deals and incentives. Here are the best staycation deals in town to book for the long weekend—or any day of the week, really.

Marco Polo Hong Kong Hotel

Scroll through Instagram and you will quickly see that the #HongKong hashtag is flooded with certain photographic staples—the view from the Peak, a snap of the Hong Kong ferries, Hong Kong’s glittering skyline at night, and always an on-shore image of the classic Hong Kong junk boat with its vivid red sails, fluttering across the harbour. Why not change things up by posting a photo of yourself on the antique junk?

With Marco Polo’s Darling Dukling staycation (starting from $1,999), guests can enjoy a private 60-minute charter on the Dukling, the sole remaining original Chinese junk in Hong Kong. Families can plan ahead to curate the perfect playlist to play on their sailing trip, or split a bottle of red or white wine. Back at the hotel, guests can anticipate ending the night in a harbour view room with the Hong Kong skyline in the background and a chocolate gift box per night. Available until 31 August 2021.
