Now that the summer is right around the corner, it’s time to plan for our favourite sunny weather activity: picnics! Hong Kong has its fair share of greenery and there is no better way to enjoy them than by chowing down quality bites and booze. Planning a picnic may seem like a hassle, but we have your back. In no particular order, here are some places offering ready-made picnic hampers that you can either pick up or have delivered to you. From cheeses and wine to blankets and tableware, picnicking has never been easier!
Modern catering company Relish leaves no detail unattended when it comes to delivering a proper picnic feast. Delivered to your door in a reusable canvas bag, the Relish picnic hamper (starting from $960) features a gourmet three-course meal, cheese and charcuterie, a bottle of wine, and a game to add an extra sprinkle of fun!
Got a special someone to impress? Add on a bouquet ($880) and champagne ($450) to further amp your alfresco experience to the next level. Place your orders here.

Take your day out to new heights with Rajasthan Rifles! Plan ahead for your picnic atop the Peak and pick up a delicious picnic basket ($800) from Black Sheep Restaurants’ Anglo-Indian restaurant that evokes memories of the military mess halls of old.
Each hamper comes packed to the brim with artisanal cheddar cheese, fruits, nuts, the Rajasthan Rifles club sandwich with chicken tikka or paneer bhurji masala, potato and green pea samosa, and nimbu soda (an Indian-style lime soda) or masala chai.
Enjoy your picnic and take in the serenity of the Victoria Peak Gardens without having to worry about a thing, as hampers include blankets, flatware, and a flask. Available daily at 12 pm, 3 pm, or 6 pm with 48 hours pre-order required. Place your orders here.
Rajasthan Rifles, Shop G01, The Peak Galleria, 118 Peak Road, The Peak | (+852) 2388 8874
Why settle for the usual picnic basket when you can have the most luxurious of them all? The Ritz-Carlton is pulling out all the stops with their picnic packages, available all day for an upscale dining experience under the sun and stars. Opt for the two-person picnic basket ($788) that comes filled with fresh bread and pastries, cold cuts, salads, and beverages, with optional champagne and caviar upgrades.
Pick up the hamper from the hotel and head to the West Kowloon Cultural District. Deliveries to other destinations in Hong Kong come at an additional cost. Reserve your picnic basket by calling the restaurant reservations team at (+852) 2263 2160 or ordering here. Be sure to place your order well in advance so The Ritz-Carlton has enough time to put your order together for the requested pick-up day.

Brick Lane’s epic picnic baskets have you covered if you’re new to dining under the stars! Filled with everything you will possibly need, its hampers come with five bites and beverages, a cosy blanket, crockery, and cutlery to finish. There are three different kinds of baskets for you to choose from, including the Baron basket ($450 for two persons), the Earl basket ($590 for two persons), and the Duke basket ($980 for six persons).
If you’re worried that your appetite will get the better of you, you can always add extra bites to your basket. Remember to place your order here at least three days in advance, so that you can just stroll into one of their locations across town and pick up your picnic!
Renowned for the cheese rooms within its restaurants, Classified is the real deal for any cheesy business. With that said, Classified offers three different cheese-themed picnic baskets for gourmands to take their meals outdoors.
Start things off easy with the Cheese Enthusiast ($788), which comes with five different kinds of cheeses and two wines to accompany them. You can take things up a notch to the Cheese Master ($1,288) level for a larger variety of cheeses and different wines for those who know how to thoroughly enjoy the delicacy! If you’re well and truly a master of cheese, you won’t mind splurging on the Cheese Connoisseur ($1,888), which boasts eight kinds of cheese, crostini, champagne, and a lovely Pinot noir for pairing.
For a more bespoke and thorough option, plenty of upscale supermarkets have a personal shopping option where they can pack together any requested items according to your budget. Great Food Hall, City’super, and Oliver’s are just a few of the places that offer this custom shopping experience, whether it is for a special occasion or no occasion at all.
Just approach their customer service counter and ask for a bespoke hamper—they will then arrange for a member of staff to bring you around the supermarket and pick out the freshest products available on the day! Plus, it’s the easiest way to customise a picnic basket with your favourite foods and drinks.
