Hemma

Online pastry brand Hemma finally opens its physical shop and café in Sai Ying Pun! The space has industrial vibes, opting for minimalism in its design and muted colour palettes. Join in the clamour for Hemma’s beloved Basque burnt cheesecakes in various flavours, such as sesame ($62) and vanilla ($52). If you’re looking for a hearty meal, its wholesome dishes, like pasta aglio e olio with shrimp ($148), scrambled eggs with Parmesan cheese on toast ($88), and all-day breakfast ($148) are great options to kickstart your day!

Live a Little

You’re already spoilt for choice when it comes to cafés in Sai Ying Pun, and more just keep coming! Live a Little is the newest addition to the bustling district. The coffee is supplied by local studio Feiru Coffee Lab and features Ethiopian house espresso. Drinks like the espresso panna cotta ($42) or the queen drip ($45) take the spotlight, but the cheesy chacha beef balls bagel ($50), which is inspired by hot pot ingredients, is also a must-try!

Brew Dog

If you haven’t been to San Po Kong much, you now have an excuse to drop by. Brew Dog is a new café in the area with cosy vibes and a refreshing atmosphere. The no-fuss drinks menu has all the classics—think espresso, tea, and even soda, with milkshakes soon to come. The food is divided into easy-to-eat pastries, such as avocado chicken panini ($64) and egg salad croissant ($38), but you can also opt for a bigger dish like the all-day breakfast ($118) or linguine with prawns in homemade basil sauce ($108).

As a pet-friendly café with a warm interior and equally delicious food and thirst-quenching drinks, this place has it all! Relieve Coffee

If you don’t look properly, you might miss Relieve Coffee in Sheung Wan. This quaint Japanese café surely lives up to its name—a place to relieve your hunger and thirst. The vintage vibes feel like they’ve been lifted straight out of an anime! From the menu, you can choose between an all-day set, Japanese side dishes, or desserts. We recommend the slow-cooked sirloin steak with sukiyaki sauce ($198), the purple sweet potato croquette ($68), and the photogenic hojicha mochi chiffon mountain ($68). For drinks, take a sip of the matcha tonic ($60) or hojicha latte (starting from $55).

Between

Between finally opens its first outpost on the Kowloon side! Located in Harbour City, the store debuts a fresh design showcasing Between’s new periwinkle blue colour. The counter is presented in terrazzo, with a window for food that allows you to take a peek at what’s on offer for the day, and the storefront even features a special mirrored wall for you to take your best selfies! Enjoy eight exclusive beverages on the menu in addition to current food and drink offerings. We recommended the Coco-Rice Paradise, the smoky ginger pomegranate, or the pineapple and peach oolong.
