TBC

Sit back and enjoy an afternoon of tropical bliss at TBC with its Southeast Asian-inspired cuisine. Going beyond the obligatory woven rattan chairs and bamboo plants to embody a holiday resort-like atmosphere, the space is a medley of soft geometric curves and colour-splash canvases that turn the walls into a stunning seascape. Let your taste buds guide your travels as you tuck into fusion eats like tiger prawn linguine with laksa sauce, smoked salmon eggs Benedict with tom yum hollandaise sauce, and Thai milk tea panna cotta. Wash it all down with an icy sparkling coffee lemonade or coconut latte!

Sloth Café

We all have days when we want nothing more than to escape the everyday grind and be a lazy sloth for an afternoon. If that speaks to your current state of mind, then this cosy sloth-themed hideout in Fortress Hill is just the place to be! Here, you will find oodles of adorable stuffed animals and decorative knick-knacks serving as a nod to the notoriously slow-moving mammal, making you feel right at home.

Savour homely Japanese comfort foods like curry udon with duck breast ($98), onigiri bento ($98), and katsu sando ($98). On the sweet side of the menu, tempting options like homemade Earl Grey tiramisu ($68), soufflé pancakes with rose syrup ($78), and matcha croffles ($68) might just put you through a bout of decision paralysis.

The Matcha Tokyo (Cyberport)

Hot on the heels of its second shop opening in Tsuen Wan, The Matcha Tokyo is continuing its expansion with a third location in Cyberport. The new venue caters perfectly to the entrepreneurial and digital nomad crowd. Floor-to-ceiling windows, blonde wood beams, and herringbone-patterned flooring blend together to engineer a welcome and spacious environment, while the cushy upholstery adds a dash of sophisticated comfort.

Get your caffeine jolt with the enticing menu of organic tea-based beverages and desserts, which spans from the signature matcha espresso latte ($48) to the matcha milk jam croffles ($42) and hojicha latte float with Okinawa brown sugar ice cream ($52). There is also a smattering of all-day breakfast and light brunch options for your picking!

Sporting a modern European style, this brand-new spot is delineated by cream-coloured furnishing, stucco walls, and gorgeous arched façades, attracting food bloggers and photo-hungry café-goers like bees to honey.

Its Instagram-worthy interiors are matched by an equally photogenic selection of food and drinks. You’re spoilt for choice when it comes to filling lunch options, but we’ve got our eyes set on the soft shell crab burger with sweet potato fries ($98), mixed berry croffles with milk tea ice cream ($78), and bluebottle jellyfish ($56), a beautifully layered, tricoloured beverage concocted with butterfly pea condensed milk and iced coffee.
