The days are a-darkenin’, Starbucks is expecting an imminent surge of Pumpkin Spice Latte orders, cult classic horror shows are rolling out on TV, and costume stores are stocking up on animal-related accessories. It can only mean one thing—Halloween is almost upon us. In the name of the spookiest time of year, bars, and restaurants across Hong Kong are whipping up all sorts of Halloween-themed goodies and deals to help us get in the party spirit. Here are some of the best offerings around town, but be warned: side effects of scrolling through this list may induce serious hunger pangs.

Halloween sugar art cakelettes at Ms B’s CAKERY

To celebrate the ghostly occasion, Ms B’s Cakery has crafted a series of limited-edition Halloween sugar art cakelettes that are a piece of excitement made with the finest ingredients. The season’s must-haves include the Halloween Tasters ($60 each), an exquisite collection of mini cakes in various amicable ghost shapes, as well as the BOO Cakes ($920) that come in either chocolate fudge flavour or red velvet with caramel crunch. Do keep in mind that orders for these spooktacular delights must be placed at least two working days in advance.

Halloween weekend brunch at Le Méridien Cyberport

For one weekend only, Le Méridien Cyberport will be introducing a Family Halloween Buffet Brunch ($588 for adults, $288 for children aged 4–12 years old) at Prompt Restaurant with themed specialities, free-flow beverages, and a ton of activities for the little ones, like colourful face painting and fun magic performances. Brunch highlights include the tasty Halloween Pumpkin Soup and other delicious main dishes such as Thai-style Roasted Pork Neck and Wok-fried Cuttlefish with Seasonal Vegetables. You certainly don’t want to miss out on the thrilling dessert buffet that showcases electrifying delectables like Dangerous Pumpkin Cheese Cake topped with a thick chocolate sauce, Spooky Macarons, and the ominously-named Finger Cakes.

Halloween Feast at Pirata Group restaurants

Turning up the gruesome festivities this year, Pirata Group is bringing a range of ghoulishly delicious bites and drinks across its restaurants in Hong Kong. Stylish Italian eatery Pirata, for instance, will dish up a scarily satisfying special this Halloween, including the Pumpkin Tortelli ($180) served with rich gorgonzola cheese, butter, and thyme sauce, and topped with an amaretti crumble and the Pumpkin Bellini Martini ($90). If it’s booze that you’re after, Madame Ching will be offering a Halloween-inspired cocktail Eye of Ching ($110). MEATS, on the other hand, are serving up two hellishly creative pours: the Taters & Spice ($95), made with spiced rum, sweet potato and pineapple juice, will be garnished with a tart lemon meringue. Comprising of Dewars whisky and pickle juice, the Pickle Back ($55) is also not to be missed.

Halloween “Ice-Scream” toppings at Emack & Bolio’s

From October 21 to 31, beloved ice-cream store Emack & Bolio’s will offer devilish new “ice-scream” toppings to celebrate Halloween with their fans. Those who purchase a double scoop of ice cream in any flavour on a signature cone, including Froot Loops, Rice Krispy, or Coco Pops Marsh “Mellow” cones, will receive gooey chocolate sauce and two horror Halloween toppings for free!

Doggy Halloween brunch at Stazione Novella

Let’s get your four-legged buddies in on some fun this Halloween! Pet-friendly Italian joint Stazione Novella is hosting a Doggy Halloween Brunch on November 3. Bring your pups and dress them up in the best and fanciest costume and enjoy a cup of free coffee or expresso while they mingle with new friends. All pup participants will also receive a house-made Pupperoni. No entry fee is required.

Le Disco Brunch Halloween special at La Vache! TST

La Vache!’s popular Le Disco Brunch ($488) gets a Halloween boost on October 26 at the Parisian steakhouse’s Tsim Sha Tsui location. The Halloween brunch edition is an unlimited steak frites feast with free-flow bubbles, La Vache! red wine, and bloody la guillotine cocktails, complete with a DJ set and dress-up contest starting at 12pm. They claim that you will get salad only unless you’re wearing something scary. Don’t forget to make your reservations ahead of time!

Halloween creations at YUM CHA

YUM CHA is celebrating this year’s spookiest night with a new selection of bewitchingly delicious treats, with dim sum and local delights taking the form of mummies, bats, and skulls. Popular bites include the famed Steamed Shrimp Dumplings ($49) that turn traditional har gow into terrifying edible eyeballs. The Steamed Mummy Sausage Buns ($49) wrap traditional Chinese sausage in warm soft dough, with tiny eyes peering from the mummy binding as the bun is bitten into. Fit for an Instagrammable feast, do remember to feed your camera first. The devilish dishes are available from October 1 to 31.
