Enter FeedMe Guru's Crabalicious Campaign

By Promotions 15 November 2017
Localiiz's Vanessa Heldner indulges in a typical FeedMe Guru tasting meal at Porterhouse, which just so happens to be during the irresistible Crabalicious Campaign featuring more than 50 top restaurants and 5-star hotels which are whipping up the ultimate Crab feast throughout November.
Autumn is the official crab season in Hong Kong — when the delicacy becomes too succulent and fleshy for anyone to resist. FeedMe Guru's Crabalicious Campaign is the first and only crab tasting menu festival in Hong Kong which runs in the month of November.

Discover, Book, and Dine!

Crabalicious makes use of the fact that November is the golden season for crabs — the perfect chance for all restaurants of different cuisines to show their creativity in developing mouth-watering crab based tasting menus. The diversity of menu options range from Asian to Western and encompass an equally huge price range providing options that meet everyone's needs. Lunch and dinner menus can be as attractive as $198!

I tried out the 4-course dinner tasting meal at Porterhouse in California Tower. How did I chose my restaurant and tasting menu of choice? Easy. Simply browse the FeedMe Guru Crabalicious page to find the meal best suited to your taste and budget. Once you've made your decision, you can pay directly online and show up for your booking without having to worry about the bill afterwards.
Situated on the 7th floor of the California tower, Porterhouse provides the perfect ambience for a relaxed and intimate mid-week meal. We were quickly greeted and seated and in no time at all, I found myself sipping on a delicious Porterhouse Mary (definitely a go-to for the spicy bloody Mary fans). Then it was time for the food, which came at a perfect pace and was accompanied by carefully selected wines to pair. We started off with a juicy Crab Cakes and a Crab Leg Tartare doused in tomato Coulis. Then we enjoyed Porterhouse's Homemade Taglioni with brown crab meat, followed by my personal favourite of the night - USDA Prime Beef Sirloin cooked to perfection with wood fire Baked Crab Leg. Each course was the perfect portion in size, leaving just enough space for a wonderful Lime Cheesecake dessert. The meal was finished off with a nice piping hot cup of tea and coffee and as there was no bill to be settled - it was straight home to recover from the food coma in bed!
