Check out Humans of Hong Kong, our newest video series focused on telling Hong Kong stories!
Bez & Oho is a grassroots company that handcrafts beautiful bags, wallets and accessories from locally available, recycled and resourced materials while providing ethical and meaningful employment for the underprivileged right here in Hong Kong. Their colourful creations all feature a little blue button, which first came to the company as stowaways used to weigh down, and therefore increase the price of, their fabric. Unwilling to let this sleight of hand serve as a negative, the Bez & Oho team made the blue buttons their signature as a reminder to make the most of any situation.PHYE
PHYE was founded by two Swedes living in Hong Kong who had the idea of transforming their library of travel snapshots into trendy printed scarfs. Each of the hand-stitched limited edition pieces, which range in subject matter from synchronised displays at the annual Korean Games to a lonely spider’s web on northern China’s tallest mountain, comes with a short description of the production process and the story behind the original image.Dancing & Dining (D&D)
On a mission to bring the pleasure of dining back to busy Hong Kongers, D&D tirelessly searches the globe to bring innovative dinnerware and home décor products to our shores. The stylish items, many of which are homemade, are sourced from renowned international brands and little-know independent designers, all carefully curated in an online boutique (and at the AME Gallery Bazaar).Oliver Pacific Wine and Spirits
Gourmet nibbles and mulled wine will be provided by Oliver Pacific Wine and Spirits, a local retailer that started introducing the world’s best tipples to Hong Kong in 2006. With wines, spirits, grappas and liquors from France, Italy and Australia, Oliver Pacific is sure to have something to get your loved ones in the Christmas spirit.AME Gallery
And of course, our gracious hosts AME Gallery will have their gorgeous collection of fine jewellery on display. The name ‘AME’ comes from the Latin word for love and soul, with each piece of exquisite handcrafted beauty carefully chosen to reflect this. What: AME Gallery Xmas Bazaar When: December 12th-14th, 11am-8pm Where: AME Gallery, 12/F Tin On Shing Commercial Building, 41-43 Graham Street, Central Price: FREE entry!
