Globally recognized for bringing to life numerous public art installations across Asia, creative studio AlllRightsReserved (ARR) has teamed up with legendary New York-based contemporary artist Futura (a.k.a. FUTURA2000) and his brand Futura Laboratories to debut “Futuraland” in Hong Kong: the largest public Installation by the artist and the artist’s brand to date. The two-week visual art exhibition will be held at Landmark Atrium in Central from 3 to 16 June.

Futura was known as early as the 1970s for his radical approach to street art, introducing abstraction to a predominately letter-based discipline. His name FUTURA2000 was an ode, in its conception decades ago, to the potential of the future: both in humanity and in humanity’s advancement through technology. Futura’s atomic motif and adjacent world of extra-terrestrial beings have become iconic; and their application over the last three decades across art, music and fashion culture via myriad cover-worthy collaborations have been loved by the world.

Featuring a large scale six-metre-tall rocket ship surrounded by seven FL-006 sculptural forms, “Futuraland” is the artist’s first experiential foray in articulating his love of outer space and intergalactic travel. Futura will be participating in person at the grand opening event, so bee sure not to miss the chance to meet the artist and experience the space-themed exhibition!
