Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation and Novartis are teaming up to proudly present “See What Lies Beneath,” a pop-up gallery showcasing poignant photographs inspired by real-life stories from physicians and breast cancer patients. Emphasising more than simply just a patient's emotions and biology, the double-exposure treatment of the photographs prompts viewers to discover more than just meets the naked eye. The exhibition aims to show that just as no two people are alike, no two breast cancer stories turn out the same. This unique photo exhibition and its messages are brought to life through performances by rising actress, Sofiee Ng, amongst other talented models.

On the front of raising awareness, there is plentiful information offered to viewers that prompts them to get tested early and regularly. By undergoing genetic testing, patients can obtain important knowledge on the cancer subtypes that affect them, and undergo better tailored treatment plans that offer a greater outcome and quality of life.

From 4 to 9 March, the pop-up gallery will be open to the public for free. Visitors can also leave positive messages for breast cancer patients and their loved ones to display the “Blessing Wall”, as well as snap some printed photo booth, which incorporates the same double-overlay effect featured in the exhibition.
