Summer is fast approaching and if you’re dying for fun things to do—aside from struggling along a shaded hiking trail or getting sunburnt on a junk boat—then you’ll be excited about this. The Grounds, Hong Kong’s first purpose-built Covid-safe events space, is presenting The Lawn Club this summer for the ultimate garden party experience!
Masterminded by the same team behind sold-out events space The Grounds, The Lawn Club hopes to become the next socially distanced summer destination. Offering a range of different experiences, the new venue at AIA Vitality Park will showcase a range of food and beverage options, outdoor activities, summer lawn sports, live musical entertainment, and livestreams of professional sporting events, amongst others.
Presented as the ultimate “garden party,” The Lawn Club will retain the dedicated four-person pod format popularised by its predecessor, with options to upgrade to luxurious sofas for even more comfort. In-pod games and courts for lawn sports such as boules, bocce, croquet, and cornhole are available as well on a first-come, first-served basis.
In accordance with stringent hygiene measures, visits to The Lawn Club will require pre-registration, health declarations, and temperature checks. Hand sanitisers are set up at each entry and exit point of the venue.
For a taste of what The Lawn Club has to offer, sign up for their special pre-launch event: a livestream of “Glastonbury Festival presents: Live at Worthy Farm,” featuring performances from famous musical acts such as Coldplay, Damon Albarn, Haim, Wolf Alice, and more. The Lawn Club will officially open to the public at the end of May, with tickets released on a weekly basis.
