Gear up for the return of Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse Day and Happy Wednesday at the Sha Tin and Happy Valley racecourses, both must-attend events for ladies and racing fans!

Actress, television host, and Miss Hong Kong 2013 titleholder Grace Chan serves as event ambassador for Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse Day this November. As the epitome of allure and elegance, she aligns with the Hong Kong Jockey Club event’s special annual showcase to represent a racing lifestyle anchored by beauty and glamour.

Participants are encouraged to dress their shiniest best for Sa Sa Ladies' Purse Day and show off your beauty and grace following Grace Chan's exquisite looks. Pink has always been one of the actress’s favourite colours, befitting the theme of the event. Ladies can get inspired from her different pink-themed outfits and headdresses, so grab your friends for a pink-alicious day!

She encourages every attendee to glam up for the occasion, and especially to put on fashionable and detailed headdresses just like racing events overseas. “I hope I get to see everyone dress up in all kinds of pink outfits on Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse Day. Come to the event in your most beautiful and your happiest,” she says. Not only that, revellers can enjoy the many signature and fun venues in celebration of the return of Sa Sa Ladies' Purse race day!

Ladies’ Purse first ran in 1846 and is considered one of the oldest races in Hong Kong. It effortlessly exemplifies the racing lifestyle heritage of the city. Attendees traditionally dress up and wear hats for the event! Hong Kong beauty brand Sa Sa has sponsored this unmissable celebration since 2005 and puts forth an annual get-together of celebrities, socialites, and ladies in town for the most stunning social event of the year.

On 6 November, various on-site attractions are available for guests to enjoy at the Sha Tin racecourse. Put on your best attire and take the best photos at the beauty photo station where an interactive mirror awaits you, or the Sa Sa Glambot zone complete with a high-speed camera, perfect for taking slow-motion reels. Various event mascots will also be roaming around the venue with photo props, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled!

The Best Dressed Awards will also take place so be sure to look your best. All you have to do is upload your beautiful snapshots to Instagram (the account has to be set to public), taken on the day at Sha Tin racecourse for a chance to win prizes.*

Anticipate the appearance of Grace Chan, who will be providing beauty and styling tips so you can look your best, no matter the occasion. Guests with the best outfits can take home the Best Dressed award and Sa Sa products!

Over at the Sa Sa Skincare and Beauty Zone, you can browse through and purchase a wide range of Japanese, Korean, and European beauty and skincare exclusive sets from brands like Eleanor, Suisse Programme, Méthode Swiss, Cyber Colour, Sasatinnine, and Eoyunggam. Selected items are discounted by up to 73 percent! So go reserve your seat and receive a designated souvenir brooch upon admission.

Racing fans don’t need to feel left out, as the ever-popular Happy Wednesday event is taking place with the theme of “Epona Goddess”! The theme is inspired by Epona, the protector of horses and ponies, as well as the Roman goddess of fertility. Just like Epona, event-goers are encouraged to dress up and be beautiful.

Riding on the wave of Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse Day, a series of Epona Goddess-themed events will take place at the Happy Valley racecourse in November! Every Wednesday is worth celebrating with friends or your pals and so join in on the mid-week fun from 6 pm till late.

Happy Wednesday's “Epona Goddess” is a joyous occasion for all. Be sure to lay back and enjoy the races with a pint or two and sip on pink-themed cocktails as well at the adrenaline bar!

Look your best and snap memorable photos at the 3D floral wall and mirror photo booth before jiving with the DJ who will set the tone for the crowd. Put your hands up for the energetic and eclectic mixing, whether it’s nu-disco, funk house, hip-hop, or techno-house, and get grooving to the music alongside the races.
