Rummin' Tings Launches New Cocktails and Comfort Food

By Sophie Pettit 24 January 2019
Oh, the weather outside is frightful... Okay, so it's not that bad, but it certainly does warrant for some hearty comfort food – and that's exactly what you'll find at Rummin’ Tings. The popular Caribbean-themed bar has launched a new menu of authentic island dishes to warm us up this season, alongside some gorgeous signature cocktails to wash them down with.

The new dishes, created by Head Chef Fernando Daculan and his right-hand woman from Trinidad, Marissa Telesford, include a trio of mouth-watering crispy Patties ($60 to $70), which come with a choice of three fillings – mozzarella, cheddar, and blue cheese / spiced beef and thyme / or spinach and pumpkin veggie fillings – Sazon Fish Bites ($180) with dover sole and beer batter, and Jamrock Jerk Beef ($180), which offers a delightfully spicy kick. Those with a sweet tooth will no doubt enjoy the refreshing Rummin’ Spritz ($90) which blends Captain Morgan Spiced Rum with lemon juice, sugar syrup, grenadine, orange zest, and soda. Meanwhile, the Gin Ger Gel ($100), offers a fresh gingery, nutty, and aromatic flavour with Beefeater Gin, Frangelico, and heaps of ice. [caption id="attachment_136535" align="aligncenter" width="660"] Bride & Tings ($120) and Gin Ger Gel ($100)[/caption] Those with a more sour palette will appreciate the zingy Bride & Tings ($120) with Plantation Stiggin’s fancy pineapple rum, passion fruit syrup, and Prosecco. There's even a cocktail on offer – the Cheezy Bob ($110) – which marries blue cheese infused Absolut Vodka with amaretto, walnut bitters, sugar syrup, and egg white. With so many new delights on offer, it's the perfect time to swing by and grab a bite to eat with friends. Head there on a Tuesday night and you'll even catch some live music during the Rummin’ Acoustic Sessions from 6pm. And don't miss out on Ladies Night every Wednesday, where you can enjoy two-for-one standard drinks and free-flow Prosecco from 8.30pm to 9.30pm – sorry lads.
