Christmas will be a happy one for gamers this year as Nintendo is opening its first pop-up store in Hong Kong! Fans of the video-game giant and its franchises will get to experience Nintendo’s popular Japanese stores during the holiday season, gathering an exclusive selection of games, merchandise, and consoles in one convenient place. Here’s what we know so far.

The first Nintendo pop-up store in the city will pop up at K11 Art Mall and bring a condensed—but by no means less enjoyable—experience of Nintendo’s Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto stores to Hong Kong. With a themed interior and life-size figurines of various gaming characters, this pop-up looks like it is going to be a video-game heaven, and it is arriving in Hong Kong just in time for Christmas!

Visitors will find the pop-up stocked with a wide variety of official merchandise featuring popular franchise characters, such as Mario, Luigi, and friends from Super Mario; Link from The Legend of Zelda; Inklings from Splatoon; Isabelle, Tom Nook, and villagers from Animal Crossing, and more! Highlights include the Super Mario dining set, with illustrations of Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Toad printed on plates, mugs, and chopsticks, as well as goofy Pikmin hoodies and cute Animal Crossing loungewear.

Nintendo will also be selling Nintendo Switch consoles, as well as Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS games! While you’re picking out new fits or games for your next weekend binge, why not invest in the latest console, too?

The Nintendo pop-up store will open its doors on 15 December at K11 Art Mall and will operate till 28 January 2024. Mark your calendars!
