Back due to popular demand, KFC Hong Kong is bringing back their Golden Salted Egg Yolk series this summer after a successful debut run earlier in the year. This special, exclusive menu consists of Salted Egg Yolk Crispy Chicken ($16) and Salted Egg Yolk Chicken Wings ($16), which are made by mixing the yolks of salted eggs into a thick, creamy sauce, and then drizzled onto the crispy batter. How’s that for indulgence?

Arguably the most controversial dish of the series is the Salted Egg Yolk Sundae ($15). Velvety ice cream is topped with speciality salted egg yolk sauce—similar to the filling commonly found in molten lava buns—which imparts a rich eggy flavour to this sweet and salty treat. With any purchase of a meal, diners can add on two pieces of Salted Egg Yolk Chicken or Wings, or a Salted Egg Yolk Sundae, for an additional $12.

Also returning to the tables of hungry diners are KFC’s D24 Durian Egg Tarts ($12)! Diehard fans of this divisive and pungent fruit will be glad to know that the egg tarts are filled with premium D24 durian sauce from Malaysia, and topped with crunchy croutons for an added textural experience. At only $12 a pop, you’ll be kicking yourself if you miss out. These seasonal treats are only available for a limited time in KFC branches across Hong Kong, so best get to it!
