Acquasala

Dog owners and their pups can escape the heat and enjoy an ice-cold beer—or a lovely meal—inside this Italian-inspired bar. Enjoy their homemade Sicilian brioche or morning tiramisù for a sweet start to your day, and be whisked away to the southern coast of Italy whilst you sip on your morning espresso.

Blend & Grind

This ultra pet-friendly coffee shop sits alongside the escalators in Mid-Levels, making this quiet little spot easily accessible at all hours of the day. Not only does this place open up at 6 am daily (amazing for early risers!), but they also offer wholesome smoothies and green juice for the health-conscious, and serve up açaí bowls, in addition to delicious cups of brews! If you’re tired of the same old coffee offerings, just try their turmeric lattes for a morning boost.

Elixir

Elixir is an artisanal coffee shop that welcomes you and your pets inside, despite having outdoor seating and some lovely and quiet steps to spill out onto. Located away from the main thoroughfares of Central, this boutique café serves distinctive brews from a selection of curated beans, imported from all over the world, and some cake specials, too. If you’re lucky, their resident cat will make an appearance, too, making for a “purr-fect” coffee break.

Life?

Life? Oh, life... This little coffee shop on Elgin Street is hidden from street view and reminds us of hanging out at a friend’s place rather than a coffee shop, and it even doubles up as an exhibition and private venue for hire. The entrance lies just next to Bob’s Paradise, making it a great afternoon pit stop after some shopping for your fur-fiends, and there are plenty of cakes, scones, and beverages on offer such as their matcha latte, yuzu soda, and absolutely delectable orange pound cake.

Whether you’re after high-tea with your pooch, a nice evening dinner, or a quiet drink by their garden lawn, The Murray is able to accommodate you and your furry, four-legged friend. Best of all, you’ll be made to feel welcome and at home with their top-notch service and you can even check in at the hotel for a pet-friendly staycation! Although there is no weight limit for dogs to accompany you whilst you dine, dogs must be under 10 kilogrammes to enjoy a “paw-some” staycation.

Rajasthan Rifles is an Anglo-Indian restaurant that offers a great dog-friendly resting spot up on The Peak. You can expect Indian twists to ye ol’ English favourites, such as the Admiral’s fish & chips, served with masala fries, and the chutney sandwich, on top of some classic Indian dishes. Breakfast is served from 8.30 am to 11 am on Saturdays and Sundays, followed by an all-day luncheon menu until closing time, making it a great pit stop for a post-hike treat for you and the dog! With the Peak Galleria also being a dog-friendly shopping destination, you can indulge in a little shopping spree with your fur-iend in tow afterwards.

Shady Acres

Everyone is welcome at this bar! And although Shady Acres might be an obvious choice for pet owners, we could not leave out our favourite dog-friendly bar from this list. This casual wine bar on the slopes of Soho is the ultimate place to go for some great food, stiff drinks, and great company. It’s best to head here early if you plan on bringing the pups, especially on a weekend! Grab a seat by the bar, order your favourite tipple, and even pull out one of their board games for a game or two.
