The festivities are centred at Big Bay Café this year, where aficionados can sample across a selection of skilfully prepared durian delights at two dining sessions.

Highlights of the “Ultimate Durian Indulgence” weekend afternoon tea infuses the pungent flavours of durian in a selection of delights: a Hong Kong-style French toast is crafted with D101 Mas durian and comes with a fragrant dressing to pair while the deep-fried D24 durian balls encase the creamy, lingering flavours of the fruit in a crunchy shell. Familiar desserts such as gâteau Basque, opera cake, tiramisu, and coconut and mango sticky rice are all infused with the alluring flavours of the fruit in innovative and surprising ways that will blow any durian lovers’ minds.

Each guest enjoying the afternoon tea buffet will be treated to one complimentary piece of durian from four variants while stock lasts, including the bittersweet D197 Musang King, buttery D24 Sultan King, sweet D101 Mas, and tender D888 Kampung.

For those who would like to savour the taste of durian well into the night, Big Bay Café’s “Lavish Taste of Southeast Asia and Durians” dinner buffet is sure to impress.

A range of cuisines from around the region takes centre stage at the buffet, including Malaysian, Thai, Singaporean, Vietnamese, and Indonesian, all complimented by speciality dishes infused with the irresistible “king of fruits.”

Highlights include Hong Kong-style deep-fried durian milk—a pungent twist to the local classic—durian pizza, durian crème brûlée, durian flan, and much more!

Guests enjoying the dinner buffet from Friday to Sunday and on public holidays will be treated to a special durian tasting platter prepared at an Instagrammable food station that is dedicated to cracking open the sought-after fruit.

Variants on offer are the D197, D24, D163, and D101, and lucky diners may also sample a cut of the premium special, the D200 Black Thorn durian, which sports a unique orange hue compared to the ordinary yellow flesh of other durians.

Extend your durian indulgence and stop by the Lobby Lounge for a selection of cakes to take home! The durian opera cake layers rich durian flavours with the roasted aroma of coffee, whilst the durian tropézienne sandwiches fresh D24 durian cream and fragrant vanilla mousse between two halves of a brioche, sprinkled with caramelised coconut floss. Get your hands on one of these cakes ahead of time by pre-ordering online.
