Ready, set, go! The first-ever Discovery Bay Open Water Race and Triathlon Challenge is happening this month. On 24 September, athletes and swimmers of all levels are welcome to participate individually or as part of a group in the fitness competition. The challenge comprises four race categories: open water swim, aquathlon, duathlon, and triathlon. If you are eager to take part in the event, read on to find out more!
What’s the deal? All races are open to individual and group participants, athletes and amateurs alike. Swimmers can put their skills to the test with individual swim races, while families can bond over the friendly family swim relay competition.
For those looking to test the limits of their physical abilities, multi-sport races such as the aquathlon challenges combine running and swimming, the duathlon challenges pair cycling with running, and the triathlon offers the ultimate experience with cycling, running, and swimming.
The starting points of the races are scattered across Discovery Bay, located at Tai Pak Beach, DB Plaza, San Pak Wan, and the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort pier. All finishing lines meet at Tai Pak Beach, so everyone can celebrate their efforts together! Attractive prizes and medals will be rewarded to the podium winners, such as the “Triple Crown Award” and a one-night stay with breakfast for two at Auberge Discovery Bay!
