Calling all Goddesses to a Night of Feminine Fashion and Inspiration

By crystal_wilde 17 October 2013
Since launching in June this year, fabulously feminine Hong Kong women’s wear label Aura Asia has captured the imaginations of aspiring Goddesses the world over. As the founders of the sensual dance/yoga line celebrate their success, they invite the city’s most innovative artisans to an elegant evening of fashion, inspiration and creation at The Space on October 25th. The Authentic Apparel Fashion & Lifestyle Show is about way more than bagging a bargain. Organised by new-brand-on-the-block Aura Asia, the evening aims to bring Hong Kong’s creative community together with a night of entertainment and engagement. Alongside pop-up shops and free food and drink, there will be DJs, dance, body art and fashion shows from the likes of Sarah Lai women's wear, Cherry Bottom casual wear and Localiiz favourites the Red Shoe Dance Company and Sara’s Henna. Garosu Girls, Resham Mohan, Omberry, Facetools by Natasha, Itsie Bitsie, Bejewelled Bespoke, Ling Yee Aromatherapy and Little Guilty Pleasures will also be in attendance. All visitors will receive HK$500’s worth of shopping vouchers on arrival and stand a chance to win one of six awesome door prizes. Aura Asia is the result of a collaboration between Hong Kong friends Tracey Fenner and Tiffany Bisley, who wanted to celebrate female inner and outer beauty with an exotic fashion line. Tracey is the artistic director of Nia Hong Kong, a mind, body, spirit movement and lifestyle practice that is responsible for the friends meeting and the main inspiration behind the line. Tiffany on the other hand brings experience to the table as an already-established designer with her own label zero nOir. “Aura Asia has been inspired by the feminine spirit,” Tracey told Localiiz. “We believe that women want to feel feminine and fabulous as they move through life, whether it be in a dance class or elsewhere.” Despite the popularity of the Aura Asia line, with online orders being made from all over the world, Tracey insists that the clothes will continue to be manufactured on a small scale by a family in Bali. “It's about quality not quantity,” said Tracey. “We investigated setting up in China, but the whole feel of the label is very mind, body, spirit, so it just felt right to go to Bali.” For your chance to see Aura Asia on the runway, try the line and meet more of Hong Kong’s up-and-coming independent designers, email [email protected] to secure your door tickets.
