We might be through the first half of 2018, but that doesn’t mean we’ve seen the best of it yet. Hong Kong has had a smattering of concert announcements recently that have got us reaching for our credit cards and marking early bird specials on our calendars. These are just a few to look forward to.

Bob Dylan and his Band
Dylan makes his return to Hong Kong seven years after performing two sold-out gigs in the city, and next month’s performance has proven to be no exception – if you’re still trying to buy yours, you’ll be let down gently, informed by Hong Kong Ticketing that ticket allocations have ‘been exhausted’. The 77-year-old Nobel Prize for Literature and Pulitzer Prize winner is set to bring his unique brand of folk, rock, Americana, and just about everything in between, to a sold-out crowd on
August 4 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Bastille
Last in Hong Kong for their Bad Blood tour back in 2015, four-piece indie pop band Bastille return to Hong Kong with a brand new single in tow and a new album on the horizon. They are scheduled to perform at Star Hall in KITEC on
August 22. Tickets are priced between $490 and $590, or an additional $100 on the door. VIP tickets are available for advanced purchase at $980, and include a meet-and-greet session with the band, for hardcore fans.

The Killers
Vegas rockers and perennial chart-toppers The Killers bring their trademark tunes to Hong Kong this
September 19, at the Asia World Expo. The band has embarked on a worldwide tour in support of their 2017 album,
Wonderful Wonderful. Expect a mix of new numbers and cult classics, including the ever-popular
Mr Brightside, which hasn’t left the UK charts since its debut as a single back in 2004! Freestanding tickets are available at $888 from Hong Kong Ticketing.

The Fratellis
Though they might not be a household name in Hong Kong, we’re willing to bet most are all too familiar with the Sevens’ staple hit,
Chelsea Dagger. Last week, the band announced the addition of Hong Kong and Taiwan dates to their tour on their Facebook page, playing KITEC on
October 25. Ticket sales begin on July 25. Advanced freestanding tickets are available for $490 on Cityline, or for $590 on the door.

Guns N’ Roses
The famed feud between Slash and Axl Rose seems to have drawn to a close, as Guns N' Roses prepare for a concert in Hong Kong featuring its original lineup. Axl and Slash have both made their respective Hong Kong appearances, though they've yet to share a stage here. Guns N' Roses will play two gigs, on
November 20 and 21, at the Asia World Expo. Tickets are priced between $688 and $2,488.

Franz Ferdinand
After a long hiatus, the Scottish indie band made their triumphant return to the spotlight with their new album,
Always Ascending, released earlier this year. In support of the release, they bring their unique brand of indie rock to Hong Kong, performing on
November 23 at Wan Chai’s Southern Stadium. Free seating and standing tickets are available from Factotum Productions and are priced between $570 and $615.
