VIDEO: Which Colour are You?

By Sophie Pettit 29 June 2015
Here at Localiiz, we love to share videos that celebrate our incredible city, but every once in a while we discover one with a far deeper meaning, such as this powerful new film, Colors created by Singaporean Cantonese film maker Steph Lee. Set on the bustling streets of Hong Kong, the film explores the complex issue of racial prejudice through the story of a young man who, after experiencing a serious head injury as a child, is left with the ability to sees people with different colors. "I like to share my views on society through my films," Lee tells us. "I am depicting a story about human beings in a general perspective that extends beyond any specific race, language, religion or nationality. People should not judge others based on the colour of their skin. We are one: we have differences, we are born to different beliefs, religion and social norms, but we should all learn to tolerate and understand that we are different in our own ways and we should learn to live in harmony with one another." So which colour are you? Or does it even matter?
