After four years of construction, Ocean Park’s long-awaited Water World finally has an opening date: 21 September! Hong Kong’s beloved theme park officially confirmed the news this afternoon, and admission tickets are now on sale. For the next 60 days, the park will adopt dynamic pricing, where ticket costs will vary depending on seasonality and days of the week, and offer limited daily early-bird offers.

A limited number of tickets will be discounted during the grand opening period, with the lowest prices being $320 for adults and $225 for children, while members of HKT’s loyalty programme, The Club, will be able to preview the park ahead of its grand opening.

Ocean Park’s highly anticipated new attraction is split into five zones—Splendid Reef, Torrential River, Thrill Valley, Adventure Coast, and Hidden Village—featuring architecture that embraces the natural terrain. With 27 outdoor and indoor attractions across all five zones, visitors can take advantage of a surf rider, nine water slides, the city’s first-and-only indoor wave pool, and plenty of child-friendly areas for the youngest members of the family.

Start your “journey of exploration” at the Splendid Reef, an open area on the shores of the South China Sea, where guides are on hand to prepare you for their visit. Slip, slide, and scream to your heart’s content as you race your friends on Rainbow Rush by The ClubTorrential River’s eight-lane, 17-metre rainbow slide, or head to Thrill Valley to find the park’s more extreme slides and freefall “daredevil drop” experiences.

Looking for a more relaxing experience? Splash around in the calm waters of Adventure Coast, where you can also enjoy bites by the pool and soak in some rays. Finally, go with the flow at Hidden Village’s Horizon Cove, an all-weather indoor wave pool offering everything from calm, lapping waters to “powerful double diamond waves.”

Sponsored by Manulife Hong Kong and Macau, the indoor wave pool also has a performance stage and large screen, allowing for parties, programmes, and concerts. As part of its sponsorship, Manulife will give away 3,000 Water World charitable tickets every year, starting from 2022.

Water World Ocean Park is due to open on 21 September, 2021. Tickets are now available on Water World Ocean Park’s official website. The Club members are eligible to attend a private preview day with access to all five zones as well as food and retail discounts on 18 September by purchasing tickets in The Club app starting from 19 August.
