Looking for a Kids’ Surf Camp in Hong Kong this Summer?

By Sponsored content 28 May 2018
Looking for an all-inclusive outdoor summer camp for your kids? Pui O-based Treasure Island is offering nine whole weeks of summer surf camps—the largest surf camp programme in the region—for budding explorers, starting from June 17 until August 16. Built around five-day programmes, these courses are the perfect way for kids to escape the concrete jungle and experience what Hong Kong nature has to offer. Dive deep into the lesser known side of the outlying islands and learn outdoor survival skills that will last a lifetime. Three different summer camps are available, suitable for children of all ages.

Adventure Camp

This age-inclusive course welcomes adventure-seeking 7–16-year-olds. Kids get to experience an awesome range of outdoor pursuits, including hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, surfing, and coasteering. One night of the week will be spent camping in tents, participating in group activities, and developing leadership skills. All meals, snacks and a one-night expedition camp-out are included in the package price.
Embrace the great outdoors with an incredible summer adventure, where kids can take advantage of sports and leisure activities rarely found in an urban environment. Pui O beach, with its protective bay, is the ideal setting for kids to develop their minds and bodies. A high instructor-to-child ratio guarantees plenty of individual attention and guidance for each student, resulting in better development of strength and ability during athletic activities. In addition, aside from learning how to work within a team and collaborate, young campers will be exposed to the importance of the environment and how to be mindful of our ecosystem. Beach clean-ups also feature on the camp itinerary, as well as programmes devoted to educating the next generation of eco-warriors. Best of all, parents have the option of being right alongside their kids as they soak up new skills this summer; Fridays are Parents’ Day, where mum and dad can join in on a free group surf or stand-up paddle board lesson. Consider a staycation on Pui O in a cabana or camping tent on Treasure Island’s private beach, enjoying some much-needed time away from the city while instructors take care of the children. While there, Treasure Island’s Beach Club is looking especially good as a hangout choice, with a 10% discount available on their new summer menu for parents who stay two nights or more in Treasure Island facilities. All five-day programmes run from Monday to Friday, from 8.30am–4.30pm. The Treasure Island team provides a daily pick-up and drop-off service at Pui O Ferry Pier at Central Ferry Pier #6.
