Hong Kong beaches, while free and beautiful, can get quite crowded and messy on hot summer days, so you may prefer swimming pools in a more hygienic environment. But not everyone has a pool in their backyard, so what to do when you’re hankering for a dip?

A few hotels in Hong Kong offer day passes to pools that include access to fitness centres as well, so you can have fun with your family and friends and take some cute pictures for Instagram while you are at it. We have rounded up a list of the most gorgeous hotel pools in Hong Kong that you can spend a relaxing day at without having to check in.

Harbour Grand Hong Kong

Just a short five-minute walk from the Fortress Hill MTR station is Harbour Grand Hong Kong, which offers visitors a pool day pass ($300) to its 27-metre-long outdoor swimming pool. Enjoy the breathtaking harbour view while swimming laps back and forth during the day or even go at night for the stunning city lights glittering in the dark.

Harbour Grand Hong Kong’s hotel pool is open to outside guests from Mondays to Thursdays from 8 am to 8 pm, but be mindful that the hotel staff may ask you to step out of the pool from time to time, as they sanitise it every hour for 15 minutes. Its day pass includes access to the locker room and the third-floor gym, but the sauna is unavailable and no food or drinks are allowed in the pool. Simply call the hotel to buy your day pass.

Kerry Hotel, Hong Kong

It is always nice to enjoy food after a workout session in the pool, and Kerry Hotel offers three different pool packages that come with lunch served poolside. Choose from four available sets, where options for mains include sesame and soba noodle salad and a hearty burger, and all of them come with appetisers and desserts while you take in views over Kowloon Bay and the iconic Victoria Harbour.

Its most accessible packages cost $550 on weekdays and $750 on weekends, and include entry to its fitness centre, too. Access to the pool is open from 9 am to 6 pm every day, including public holidays. You can also purchase other pool day passes with champagne (starting from $1,050) or a 60-minute massage (starting from $1,350). Just call the hotel to buy the day pass or make a reservation online.

The Mira Hong Kong

If you are looking for an indoor pool, consider The Mira in Tsim Sha Tsui, which is open from 6.30 am to 10 pm. Its pool day pass ($500) includes free use of the gym and an hour’s time in the pool, but the sauna is temporarily closed. Kids are welcomed as long as adults are accompanying them. If you would like to enjoy a spa treatment, check out the spa packages, some of which already include access to the pool and fitness facilities. Make sure to book in advance, as only 15 people are allowed in the facility at one time.
