Shore Relaunches as Hunter & The Chase

Formerly know as Shore, Hunter & The Chase has recently undergone a huge makeover in L Place on Queen’s Road Central, bringing us a two-storey venue which boasts contemporary cocktails, American-inspired comfort food, and one of the city’s favourite al fresco dining spots. While Hunter offers a sophisticated restaurant on the fourth floor, The Chase on the level below provides a chic and playful 1,800 square-foot outdoor terrace on which to enjoy a breath of fresh air and some relaxing downtime in the city. Encompassing an elegant long bar, a dedicated cheese counter, warm timber decking, and comfortable lounge seating, this is the ideal spot to enjoy some casual wining and dining with friends. Make sure to try the incredible “liquid fruit salad” Raspberry Cobbler, the Fuego Manzana with tequila, Manzana Verde, lime and red chilli, or the super refreshing La Dolce Vita (all priced at $98) with gin, Aperol, Chartreuse, root syrup, and watermelon Hunter & The Chase, 3/F, The L. Place, 139 Queen’s Road Central, (+852) 2915 1638

New Rooftop Bar PIQNIQ

From the award-winning hospitality group Le Comptoir, which brought us Bibo, The Ocean, Tri, and French restaurant Ecriture on the floor below, new rooftop bar PIQNIQ offers comfy seating, puffy beanbags, and an iconic polka-dot pumpkin created by Japanese contemporary artist Yayoi Kasuma. Unlike other rooftop venues around the Central area, which tend to sway more towards the swanky side in terms of decor and atmosphere, PIQNIQ instead offers a more whimsical and playful vibe, inviting guests to delve into a variety of 'piqniq' baskets filled with popular dishes from around the globe such as wagyu sandwiches, sushi, and dim sum. The bar also offers a curated list of wines, champagnes, and classic cocktails, making it another ideal spot for alfresco wining and dining with stunning views. PIQNIQR/F (27th Floor), HQueens, 80 Queens Road Central, (+852) 5200 1683

CÉ LA VI’s Sky Deck Relaunches with New Look

The trendy rooftop bar, which boasts some of the best views of Central, has undergone a major makeover, offering the city’s most glamorous party-goers more space to mingle and lap up the breathtaking skyline. The Sky Deck now boasts a grey marble floor, comfy cushioned seating overlooking the city, and high table tops featuring lush green plants in the centre, giving the venue a more relaxed and approachable vibe than before. The bar still offers one of the best happy hour deals in town – two-for-one cocktails during Sundowner Sessions from 3pm until 9pm every day – as well as live DJs house music every weeknight from 6pm and Cuban Night every Tuesday. The perfect spot to chill out after work or take visitors to the city to wow them with the views. CÉ LA VI, 25/F California Tower, 32 D’Aguilar Street, Central, (+852) 3700 2300

PONG Opens in Causeway Bay

It's game on as PONG has opened a brand new outlet in Causeway Bay's Midtown Soundwill Plaza II, offering delicious gastropub food, beer pong games, and music entertainment. The impressive 2,900 square-foot venue boasts funky ceiling LED lights and an exclusive touch screen PARTYConnect table which invites guests to enjoy social games for up to 8 players at a time. Three PONGConnect tables are also available to play for the first three months of the opening, featuring the newest games around. Music lovers can rock out to an impressive line-up of guest and house DJs spinning tunes, while karaoke fans can sing along to Cantopop classics and the latest international hits in the private 300 square-foot karaoke room. They can also sip on cocktails shaken to order by professional mixologists while enjoying views of Causeway Bay through floor to ceiling windows. PONG has also opened a new outlet in Knutsford Terrace alongside its existing branch in ifc mall. PONG, 26/F, Midtown Soundwill Plaza II, 1 Tang Lung Street, Causeway Bay, (+852) 2301 3988
