SOLOpro Waterpark To Open in Shenzhen This May

By Sarah Moran 30 April 2019

Shoulders are showing, makeup is melting, and sweat stains have started appearing on MTR seats – that's right, all the telltale signs that summer is on its way to Hong Kong are here. As our city slowly turns up the heat, we’re all tempted to hide inside air-conditioned shopping malls all day, but if you're looking for a more fun way to escape the heat, then you might want to hop across the border and cool down at a giant, pop-up waterpark that is coming to OCT Harbour in Shenzhen this May 1 to August 31.

Covering 100,000 square metres, SOLOpro Waterpark offers over ten different activities and boasts a whopping 290-metre long artificial beach. The main attraction here is a huge inflatable obstacle course that promises to challenge both adults and kids alike, but if you're looking for something to really cool you down, the park also features a range of exciting paddle boarding activities, a wave pool where you can learn how to surf with on-site instructors, waterslides, and more. For the little ones, there's also a beach playground complete with swings, bubble pools, obstacle courses, and more.

Our absolute favourite activity at SOLOpro Waterpark, however, has to be the diving experience zone where you can swim in a huge glass water tank located on the beach. Instead of seeing sea creatures, you get to observe families having fun on the beach – now you'll understand how your pet fish feels! Tickets cost an affordable RMB¥35 per person, and with so many exciting experiences on offer, we're sure SOLOpro waterpark is set to be the next big family attraction.
