Win premium coffee beans & a brewer by BeanCurious!

By BeanCurious 26 September 2020

There’s nothing quite like that first hit of caffeine when you down your morning cup of coffee. With working from home looking like a distinctly permanent possibility for more and more people, it looks like we may have to up our home brewing game since we may not be able to rely on having a coffee machine ready in the workplace. Here are a couple of tips from the experts at BeanCurious on how to brew a cup of coffee like a pro barista at home!

Aside from using freshly ground coffee beans as much as possible, it is also super important to customise the coarseness of the grind according to how you plan to brew your coffee. For example, a medium-to-coarse grind is perfect for making cold brew as its flavours are released more slowly; in contrast, a coarse grind is preferred when using a French press as the grounds are steeping in hot water during the entire preparation. At the end of the day though, experimentation is the best way to figure out which brewing method, which beans, and which grind suits your own tastes the most.

BeanCurious makes your time at home more enjoyable by bringing premium, freshly roasted coffee straight to your doorstep. Best of all, they are going to spread their joy with Localiiz readers by giving away three 200-gram packs of premium coffee beans and one grand prize of a Kinto Japan’s pour-over brewer valued at $1,280. All you have to do is answer one quick question: What is your favourite way of making coffee?

This competition is brought to you by Localiiz in partnership with BeanCurious.
