New Exhibition Unveils Jaw-Dropping Photos of our Electric City

By Sophie Pettit 26 January 2016
What does it take to capture a jaw-dropping photo of Hong Kong? Head down to the new Electric City exhibition this Wednesday and you will find out. For one night only, eight of our city's most talented, creative, and daredevil photographers are inviting you to view the metropolis through their eyes - or rather, lens. To celebrate the launch of new co-working space, The Hive Studios, the free exhibition features around 60 shots of Hong Kong which capture the city's electric energy by day and night from every angle imaginable. But we must warn you, some of these are not for the faint-hearted. Among the lineup of photographers are Aaron Brimhall, Beerkus and Daniel Lau, Jack Fung, Harold de Puymorin, and founders of Dienastie Eyewear, Erik Biedron and Jesper Lindquist, whose daredevil rooftop video has garnered more than 32 million views across the Web. "Hong Kong is a photography Mecka for us and we've met so many other inspiring photographers here from all around the world." Photography duo Lamyock and 5.12, whose snap-happy adventures feature in the latest official Apple iPhone 6s commercial, keep the adrenaline pumping with their incredible shots from amazing spots in Hong Kong. "Our type of photography is simply about feeling the adrenaline rush through the body," they tell us. We feel that!
