Localiiz Property Picks: Serviced Apartments Under 10k

By Jenny Leung 31 August 2017

If you're looking for a temporary living arrangement in Hong Kong with no long-term commitment, then serviced apartments are the way to go. The price tag that comes with them, however, might leave you slurping Cup Noodles for the next month! Bur fear not, because we've searched the city high and low to find you the best serviced apartments for under $10k a month to meet your budget.

Apple Dorm, Sham Shui Po / Sai Wan

  • From $3,000
  • 50 sq. ft
  • Free Wi-Fi / pantry, toilets & showers facilities (shared) / coin-operated washing & drying machine

Yes. 50 square feet! This place is as cheap as it gets, and if you're not claustrophobic then Apple Dorms might be a perfect fit for you. Mind you, there's probably not going to be much space to fit a lot of luggage so make sure you pack light!

In Inn, Tsim Sha Shui

  • $6,600 - $8,200 per month
  • 80 - 130 sq. ft
  • HD TV / free in-room Wi-Fi / free local call / weekly house keeping / free shampoo and shower gel / microwave and refrigerator (common area)

The rooms at In Inn might be a tight fit, but their chic and modern interiors definitely make up for it. Located in Tsim Sha Shui, the Inn is only a three-minute walk to the MTR station so crossing the harbour will never be a problem, and if you're new to Hong Kong, its common area is a great place for you to mingle and get to know some new people.

The Harmonium, Hong Kong Island

  • From $9,000
  • 100 - 200 sq. ft
  • Fully equipped kitchen / weekly cleaning services / wireless broadband internet (unlimited usage) / TV

Okay, so some of these apartments are actually more in the range of under 15k, but for a relatively spacious pad that's located in areas such as Wan Chai, SOHO, and Causeway Bay, it's a true bargain. Every apartment is also conveniently located so that you never have to worry about transportation, food, or even your social life.

Ideal Suite, Tin Hau

  • $7,000 - $10,000
  • 120 - 180 sq. ft
  • House keeping service twice a week / TV / wireless Broadband / private telephone line / cooker, mini fridge, microwave included

Ideal Suite has accommodations across Tin Hau, Causeway Bay, and Fortress Hill, but its Chic Suite range is what you should be looking for if you're on a budget. Fully furnished with all the basic essentials provided, it's certainly on point with providing value for money.

Linkmax Serviced Apartments, North Point

  • $9,800 - $13,000
  • 220 - 350 sq. ft
  • Fully equipped kitchen / cleaning services twice a week / free Internet / TV

Now at first glance, it may not look as furbished as some of the other serviced apartments we've introduced, but these cribs were actually purposely designed to give a more down-to-earth eastern vibe, imitating what a typical Hong Kong home may look like. A big selling point of Linkmax is also the size of its apartments, where you can actually fit more than two people through the door!

Born in Hong Kong and raised in the UK, Jenny grew up with the best of both worlds. She loves just about anything to do with music and doesn’t shy away from belting out a tune or two when it comes to karaoke. If she’s not out and about exploring the city and practising her photography skills, she’s probably tucked up in bed with a book or glued to her laptop doing her online shopping.
