Best Of British Festival Returns to Hong Kong with Epic Lineup

By Sophie Pettit 10 September 2018
It's time to pour yourself a stiff G&T, pull up a comfy deck chair, and settle down in Tamar Park because the Best of British Festival is returning to the city this October 9 to 14 with an epic lineup of fun, food, and films for all to enjoy.

Back for the fourth year, the festival brings us eight restaurant pop-ups by popular British eateries including The Pawn, Burger Republic, Classified, and Shoreditch, as well as newcomers Three Blind Mice who will be unveiling a special Candy Shop. On the pub front, the much-loved Crown & Anchor pop-up will be keeping the beer flowing on tap while Pinkster gin will be rocking the florals on its gorgeous Insta-worthy cart, encouraging festival goers to arrive dressed pretty in pink to support Pink Season and enjoy discount drinks. [caption id="attachment_125988" align="aligncenter" width="660"] "Pour me a pint governor!"[/caption] And if all that isn't enough to lure you away from Netflix, then maybe the impressive lineup of iconic British rom-coms being screened on the huge outdoor cinema is. This year's collection includes Four Wedding and a Funeral, The Holiday, Billy Elliott, and Love Actually, to name a few. But we're particularly excited to hear that The Rocky Horror Picture Show is the chosen movie for the popular Friday night slot, in support of the LGBT community in Hong Kong. So get those corsets and fishnets ready people – that includes you too, fellas! The GOT BALLS team will also be joining in the fun this year, throwing an epic 'Britain's Got Balls' games night to remember on the Thursday night. Early bird tickets cost $120 and $180 thereafter, so get in there quick. And don't forget to look out for the 2-metre-tall British bulldog display which will be parading around the city in the week leading up to the festival. We can't wait!
