Work with Your Existing Wardrobe

As there isn't a huge difference in terms of temperatures between the seasons in Hong Kong, getting dressed for autumn doesn’t require a major change of wardrobe like in other countries, and making the transition into fall can be relatively effortless. As Personal Stylist Rosa Wong of Style-Proud explains, "To get the feel of a cooler climate, you don’t need to splurge on new arrivals and completely change your existing wardrobe to create the right look. There are so many ways of updating your look during the transition phase and beyond. For example, the one-shoulder sweater trend doesn’t stop at summer, wear it with a print skirt or some skinny jeans. Get an oversized scarf or pashmina in your colour and drape it around your shoulders, or steal Anna Wintour's look and wear your jacket around your shoulders. "Don't forget that lightweight denim is the way to go as it's still considerably hot in autumn (white denim is seasonless). Consider wearing a versatile shirt dress that you wore with trainers during warm summer days and add open toe boots or ankle boots and a knit cardigan over the top for chilling autumn nights. Layer your shirt dress over leggings if you wish to cover up your legs. Remember that layering is key, whether you wear a t-shirt under your sleeveless midi, a cotton turtleneck under your summer dress, or a lightweight cardigan over your floral print dress."

7 Staples to Add to Your Wardrobe

If you are looking to spend this season, there are some playful trends you can adopt to lift your spirits and add some fun to your wardrobe. Vibrant colours, bold floral and animal prints, and 70s throwbacks are all strutting their stuff down the designer catwalk and making their way into the high-street stores. Just check out these stylish finds.
