Across Hong Kong Island and Kowloon

Red Bull is transforming Hong Kong into a giant playground with the brand new virtual explorace experience “Red Bull Takeover”! Set to take place on Saturday, 24 April 2021, the event turns running and fitness exercise into a game where participants race to various checkpoints scattered around Hong Kong Island and Kowloon to collect points.

“Red Bull Takeover” will feature two teams captained by high-profile Hong Kong sports stars, with two-time rope skipping world champion Timothy Ho leading the Red Team and master fitness trainer Utah Lee taking charge of the Blue Team. In the virtual explorace, each competitor will sign up as an individual runner, be asked to choose a team, and will need to work with their teammates to collect as many scores as possible within the three-hour time period. Participants will use the District app to help them search for checkpoints and track their live scores.

Apart from great fun, participants also stand a chance of winning some amazing prizes. Courtesy of Otterbox, the individual men‘s and women‘s champion will each win an Apple Watch 6th gen and Exo Edge Case, while the first and second runner-ups will receive Airpods Pro and Lumen Airpods Case, along with a $500 Decathlon voucher. Additionally, each participant will receive a participant kit that includes a Red Bull Takeover t-shirt, a wrist band, a headband, a towel, a drawstring bag, and a Red Bull Takeover limited-edition phone case from OtterBox.

Check out their event website for more information and to register for the race!
