Eaton HK celebrates queer kin, crip cuties, babes of all shades with “Access Breach: Radical Visibility Ball” a fashion and pride multi-collaboration party jamboree co-organised with CHAT (Centre for Heritage, Arts and Textile), taking place on 2 July.
The inspiring event is conceived by Artist Director Taeyoon Choi and Producer Suhyun Choi, featuring Rebirth Garments and friends. Combining futuristic fashion, pride beats, body positivity, and rainbow colours, “Access Breach” aims to raise awareness around diversity, equality, and inclusivity; and uplift those underrepresented in size, ability, gender and colour in fashion. It will call attention to queer, disabled (including but not limited to physical, emotional, mental, intellectual, developmental or psychological, whether it is apparent or not), low-income, trans, non-binary, and intersex friends of all sizes and ages.
Additionally, after a vibrant and inclusive casting call in March, selected models have been fitted with custom outfits by Sky Cubacub of Rebirth Garments designed to empower. Professional portraits and documentation of the production process will be presented in an exhibition at Eaton HK from 28 June to 5 July 2021.
