Curated by Chris Wan, this new exhibition at Rossi & Rossi utilises the private collection of Yuri van der Leest, the vice-president of Teneo, to present two frameworks of collectorship: institutional and personal.
The two modes of art collecting—one displayed in museums or kept in archives, the other in a private collection—are juxtaposed to raise questions about structure in the art system. The gallery is divided into two exhibition halls, echoing the two different ways of collecting art. Artists featured include Stephen Wong Chun-hei, Guillaume Cornet, Kosuke Ikeda, Kitty Wong, Zao Wou-ki, and more.
