Ri Galerie is showcasing 14 paintings by Indian artist Rohit Kumar in an online exhibition Kumar interrogates identity in contemporary cultural production in a globalised, socio-political landscape. The artist draws on his own personal experiences in this landscape, but also from the experiences of the collective.
The public sphere is a space where the personal and the collective intersect. Kumar’s rice paintings in “People Like Us” tackle pressing issues such as cultural identity amongst other socio-political issues in our contemporary society.
