Here we go again—the hit musical Mamma Mia! is coming back to Hong Kong this summer! As the last stop of its current China tour, the Abba-inspired musical created by band members Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus will perform 24 shows at the Lyric Theatre in the heat of the summer season from 26 July to 15 August.
A must-see musical of our era, the show reprises Abba’s biggest hits, from Dancing Queen to Voulez-Vous, Super Trouper, Gimme! Gimme!, and of course, Mamma Mia. Here’s a brief synopsis for those who’ve been living under a rock, Mamma Mia! is set on an island off the coast of Greece, and follows Sophie as she tries to find her biological father on the eve of her wedding. She invites her mother Donna’s three ex-boyfriend to the celebration, where chaos—and a lot of singing and dancing—ensues. Get your tickets here.
