If there is one race that we are tripping over ourselves to sign up for, it’s the Hong Kong Disneyland 10K Weekend taking place in November! We need a good reason to lace up our trainers, and running with Mickey and friends might just do the trick! Mickey, Duffy, Anna, Elsa, Marvel superheroes, and more magical characters will be present to cheer us on as we jog around Hong Kong Disneyland on 2 and 3 November.

Five different races are organised this year, including the 10-kilometre Marvel Super Heroes race and the Pixar Pals 5K, which are open to 16-plus year olds and 14-plus year olds respectively. This year’s brand new Frozen Explorers 3K route takes participants through the brand-new World of Frozen, giving all 3-plus year old Disney lovers a chance to belt out For the First Time in Forever in the streets of Arendelle. Similarly, the Duffy and Friends 3K and a Mickey and Friends kids race are set up for little ones to join in on the fun, as children 5 years or older run alongside Mickey and other Disney icons in the race.

Each participant will receive a runner pack inclusive of a Disney-themed running t-shirt and plenty of accessories and running goodies from partners. Those who complete the race will also receive a Disney-themed medal, and guests can commemorate this magical moment by purchasing photo packages, such as the kids’ medal photo, or a printed photo with a designated photo frame.

Disney will be donating a portion of the proceeds to the Hong Kong Federation of Handicapped Youth’s “Momentum Academy” initiative, and to the Hong Kong Joint Council for People with Disabilities to support the “Talent Development Program for Young People with Disabilities.”

Registration is open from 30 July to 2 September—remember to secure your spot here before spaces run out! Another new addition to this year’s race are the Disney-style Runway Awards, celebrating Disney-inspired outfits that showcase creativity, comfort, and personality. Runners can sign up individually, or in teams of up to eight people to win the award before the race has even begun, so make sure you dress to impress!
