Face Productions will present four musical performances of The Wizard of Oz on 25 and 26 May at the Hong Kong Arts Centre. Face Academy, the production company’s stage school for young performers, has invited 10- to 16-year-olds to star in the show.
For its biggest production of the year, the 2011 musical adaptation of the iconic 1939 fantasy film is reprised for the stage. In it, Dorothy and Toto the dog arrive in the land of Oz after being blown away by a tornado. On their way to ask the wizard for help, they meet the Tin Man, Scarecrow, and Cowardly Lion, and their quest leads them on a fierce chase against the Wicked Witch of the West. Get your tickets here.
