Between 29 to 31 October, Korea Square 2021, the first large-scale marketplace event hosted by the Korean Cultural Center in Hong Kong, will be held at PMQ Courtyard and Marketplace. Visitors can transport themselves to Korea through an array of Korean cultural activities, such as traditional games from the Netflix hit, Squid Game, craft workshops and Hanbok experiences while enjoying live Taekwondo performances and more. The event will also showcase a wide variety of Korean products, including electronics, skincare and K-food.

Fans of the latest Netflix hit, Squid Game, will be able to play traditional Korean
games, including Guseulchigi (playing games using marbles with the goal to win other
players’ marbles), Ddakji (throwing paper cards to flip another player’s card), Dalgona
candy challenge
(using a needle to cut out a shape from a sweet honeycomb candy, and more. A series of cultural activities, including workshops on Hanbok paper doll making, fabric folding art and an opportunity to try on traditional Hanbok, will also be available at the event.

In addition to fun activities, there will also be showcases of innovative electronic products and home appliances from Samsung and LG Electronics, as well as skincare products from Sulwhasoo. Meanwhile, those craving Korean food can stock up on a range of fruits and vegetables freshly delivered from Korea by Hanyinhong, classic Korean snacks and sweet rice cake from JCOR, and Korean lunchboxes from New World Korean Food and Maxearn. Stella A&C will offer Korean-style bottled cold brew coffee and a special rice cake dessert—perfect for enjoying together.

To top it off, visitors will receive complimentary make-up and hairstyling services from
Han Kuk Korean Lifestyle, and can then head over to Creatio Video & Photo Studio’s photo booth afterwards to capture their perfect Korean-style looks for no charge!
